[photo from closerweekly] Who could ever forget Ethan Hunt in the movie flick Mission impossible? Of course! I'm talking about none other than Hollywood's famed actor, Tom Cruise! At 54, Cruise was one of Hollywood's most bankable stars and a 3-time Golden Globe awardee. Among his notable movies aside from Mission Impossible were: A Few Good Men, Maverick, Top Gun, The Color of Money, Taps, The Outsiders, Born on the Fourth of July, Vanilla Sky, Valkyrie, The Firm, The Vampire Chronicles, Interview With the Vampire, Magnolia and a whole lot more making him one of the most bankable and highest paid actor of his era in Hollywood. Despite his fame as an actor, Cruise seems cannot be stable in both his spiritual and married life due to the controversies he had being a member of the controversial Church of Scientology leading to his broken marriages with several celebrities he has been with before. Cruise has been married to Mimi Roger,Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes for which he has a daughter named Suri. Born July 3, 1962, Cruise who was once Hollywood's famous heartthrob will soon be a senior citizen. Who knows, he might choose the Seniors Only Club as his virtual retirement community soon. (lols!)
I've always liked Tom Cruise. I don't care about his marriages or his religion. I really liked him in Rainman.
I don't say I like him. But as an actor. I like the scene in the movie Interview with the Vampire with Brad Pitt in the finale. I like his action scenes in the Bourne series yet I'm a big Steven Seagal fan.
@Mari North - exactly how I feel - like you, I'm a fussy mare Just as well he has some fans otherwise he'd be sweeping roads probably ................
Don't like Seagal either. Don't like Cruise as an actor, or as a person. Have only seen a handful of his movies.
This reminds me of an email I received when there was no social media yet. It contained photos of several actors who were heartthrobs during their time. But the photos showed unglamorous poses of Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan, and some other actors showing their bulging tummy and wrinkled faces. Upon seeing that email, I got this notion that time is cruel and that nothing is really permanent. With Tom Cruise's religion, I have read that in an article. Scientology is a new religion established by a science fiction writer. And I also think that his religion was the reason for his failed marriages.
I like a man to have 'character' in his face and mind The majority of actors I like are not pretty - Gregory Peck, being the exception, handsome he is
