@Hoot Crawford I have a 4 gallon batch of Blueberry wine still fermenting, so that's out yet.......maybe a nice cold St. Pauli Girl! Frank
My tea is really just coloured water tbh, I just wave the teabag at it....and I take water to bed with me...
I have 2 Rum & Cokes every evening between 5 and 7, before Supper. (Except when we're dining out, then its Beer.) Several lce Cubes, a Jigger of Bacardi Gold, and Coca-Cola to the top of the glass, in that order. Here's looking at you! Hal
20oz insulated metal cup filled with ice, water and........ Isoleucine, leucine, valine, lysine, threonine, phenylalanine, cysline, tyrosine, methionine, histidine, tryptophan, Cortisol control matrix of lysine, theonine, phosphatidyliserine, potassium ascorbic acid, pomegranate fruit, grape seed extract, magnesium, potassium, and A nice 10 mg helping of melatonin. Yup, helps the brain and muscles recover and no hangover.............
Not to be a picky wife, or anything........ but that cup of yours is the 32oz size, @Bobby Cole . The 20 oz size is like the little one I drink my coffee out of.
Most times lately I really don't need a 'night cap', but when I do, it's always a Scotch. ( Dewar's White mostly ) Who could argue with what was written in 1577 about Scotch Whisky: “Being moderately taken, it slows the age, cuts phlegm, helps digestion, cures the dropsy, it heals the strangulation, keeps and preserves the head from whirling, the tongue from lisping, the stomach from womblying, the guts from rumbling, the hands from shivering, the bones from aching…and truly it is a sovereign liquor if it be orderly taken.” Sure beats the heck out of an old boring Apple to keep the Doctor away...
Quite the cocktail, @Bobby Cole! Have you ever added L-arginine to the mix? Or NAC? (or did you mean cysteine or cystine instead of cysline?)
It was a quick write. Cystine. I back off on l-arginine to a small extent before bed because of the amount of niacin incorporated in one of my other witches brews which helps out with developing nitric oxide. The funny thing with l-arginine is that during deep sleep there are some pretty good indications that when it crosses the brain’s blood barrier, it excites the pituitary which will then excrete GH. That’s all good but there are so many other natural factors involved in clean bodybuilding which do the same thing without overworking the pituitary. Note: There are times when I simply wish to allow muscle strength to catch up with muscle size so I omit or lessen some things and add others or simply do without. Muscle looks good but it’s pretty useless if it isn’t functional. Those times when I’m looking for mass gains, the gloves come off and all systems are asked to go so the stores better be full! So far as NAC goes, it’s incorporated in my lung health supplementation.
I think everyone is tryng to outdo everyone else with the sophistication in their drink formulae. (I also take water to bed with me, especially when sleeping in my Hammock under dry High Desert skies) Hal
