Google Earth Pro works on my Mac but I rarely use it and have never used an app.

If one doesn’t have Google earth then Google, “earth”.

I deleted google earth and tried google street and it was about 5 or 6 years old just like google earth.

I don't use google earth either, and I find Google Street View, can vary greatly in time in how old the scenes were taken. for example my road hasn't been updated in 10 years, .. whereas some other places I've looked at both here in the Uk and the world generally are bang uptodate...

I use Google Earth Pro to look at the places I've lived at in my lifetime. Every place we've lived at we always plant trees so T interesting to watch them grow. My childhood home you can't even see from the street the trees are so full. The first house I bought has a dogwood tree that is now about 50 ft tall. My current home is pictured about 8 years ago judging from the car I see in the driveway.

I have used Google Earth frequently on W7. It was one of my favorite programs, and I miss it now.

The Geek Squad was supposed to transfer all my files from my W7 computer to the new W10 machine, so where's Google Earth?

There are many times when I have to see a satellite picture, including ground angles, of places of interest, including homes I lived in 80 years ago.

I would say that Google Earth is among my most needed programs.

Do you know how to access Control Panel in Windows? If so, open it and click on Programs; you'll see all programs installed on your PC. If Geek Squad didn't move all your programs to the new machine, call them and they should be able to connect to your machine and get it set up for you in no time.

    Hey Beth:

I could easily access Control Panel in W7, but now I can't find either the Control Panel or a list of Programs...only a long list of Apps, with no Google Earth among them!

I recently got a book called W10 for Seniors, which is not helping. This morning I ordered W10 for Dummies; maybe that'll help!

I didn’t have that happen but then I linked to it with my IPad. Dunno if that makes a difference but it looked pretty useful at the time.
I certainly wouldn’t lead anyone into a territory I haven’t already been but again, maybe it has something to do with individual safeguards.

Edit: I just went to the site and nope, nothing happening that I didn’t expect.

Hal--click on the start button and just start typing "control panel". It should pop up. (Or click on Start Menu and scroll down to Windows System and then select control panel.)
