@Lon Tanner I have never really cared much for bacon. Yet, recently, I have had a yen for a nice BLT sandwich. Bacon is outrageously priced around here, but my wife gets a package now and then and freezes it. Then when the urge strikes...... Like them best on toast, rye if possible, or whole wheat. Bye, bye KETO! My wife eats hers minus the bread, the lettuce wrapping it altogether! Frank
No pic as It is ate. White bread or bun, Best Maid sandwich spread on both sides, swiss cheese 2 slices, thinly sliced steak with sliced red pepper strips, all heated till cheese melts- add mushrooms If I have them. Enjoy with lemonade or cold milk. My #1
If you like this with sauerkraut and cheese, my daughter found a recipe online which layers all the ingredients for a fantastic corn beef lasagne. No noodles....just the concept.
My absolute favourite too, sadly almost entirely unavailable here where I live. The kebab shops are all run by Turks and they don't sell Gyros , they're only sold in Greek take-aways and not restaurants.... so no luck unless we go into London... I've had more Gyros in Greece than I've ever managed to get here!!
Bess, what do you mean you can't eat bread? Certainly you can! Everybody can eat bread! Just do it! Harry
It's hard to pick a favorite; nothing beats a great hamburger. But I guess I'll go with a french dip on crusty bread.
It may sound like I'm just trying to be cute, or different, but honestly the one sandwich I can't lay off of is PB&J, on really good fresh white bread. Maybe a BLT, if the bacon is cooked just right, but they are so messy. I don't like to work that hard to eat something. Does a McD's plain sausage biscuit count as a sandwich?
Since bread and the like are are not included in my nutritional program I like meat between some more meat.........
