Here is a suggestion to help people from being bored during this lock down period.

Start calling your Federal and State Legislators about important legislation like immigration, religious freedom, same sex marriage, gun rights, protection of SS and Medicare benefits etc, etc. As you can see there are plenty of issues to choose from. Be bold; always remind them they work for you and you will use every legal and constitututional means to remove them from office if they don't vote as you desire them to--primary method being voting them out of office or instituting a recall. I have been an activist for over 40 years and I find it very satisfying that I have done my part in making America the country I envision it to be.

This could become a life time job in your life. More activists are deseerately needed and maybe congress would finaslly get the job done. In fact they want to hear from you.

I have been an activist for over 40 years and it can keep you very busy so do something positive for yourself and your country and get Congress to work for you not the other way around.

Welcome to the forum, Warren. Unfortunately, I live in Maine. Our elected officials don't care what anyone thinks. Most of them are Democrats and the few Republicans who manage to get elected to office are... well, they're Democrats too.

Personally, I think we have far too many activists who don't have a clue as to what they are talking about, but who simply follow agendas, put forth by others, because it makes them feel good to think that they're doing something. It's easy to make a fuss, and it can feel good to make a fuss, but most of the political activism that I've seen in the past couple of decades has been little more than sheep doing what the sheepdog tells them to do.

The same applies to NJ, Ken. Now that we are a sanctuary state, our elected officials are only interested in talking to illegal immigrants who want more and more handouts.

Well my congress critter is Tom Reed. Made his millions suing people for medical debt. He represents Tom Reed. 97.3% voting party line. Not a crack of daylight between his lips and Trumps ass. His most famous and often used quote, "w'ell have to agree to disagree"
