I share it.
My youngest granddaughter loves to hear me sing a long.
I like that idea Von
Me …… I change the tune
Yes, listening to more tunes usually works. There is a chance I'll get stuck with one of the new tunes in my head, but it's worth the risk.
@Nancy Hart - that's right, but it may be a better tune
Thanks to @Bobby Cole ,and his post in another thread, I now have “pah-rum-pum-pum-pum ” running around in my head.......and it is only mid-September !
U-oh …………. Drummer boy it is …………… pum rata ta ta
I've always found that if I sing the tune out loud for about five minutes, that'll get it out of my head.
Don't try that for middle-of-the-night episodes, though. Makes you very unpopular with your bedmate.
FWIW, "Little Drummer Boy" made the Billboard Top 40 Chart 5 years in a row, 1958, '59, '60, '61, and '62, all in December, by Harry Simeone Choral. Born 1911 in Newark, NJ, died 2005, aged 93.
@Von Jones Thanks Von, now it's in MY head................
The tune that sticks in my head is the THEME from the TV series M*A*S*H.
The Secret is to replace it with a tune in a completely different TEMPO!
@Hal Pollner So glad to see you back!!!
Thenk you, thenk you every much!
Songs that get stuck in my head are often annoying ones that I really hate. Rather than fight them, I usually resign myself to letting them run their course, like a virus...
