A combination of the names Millheim and Krumroy, two very old communities in the area.
And yes, I did get that as a security question one time long ago. Not hard to figure out.
Mine was called 12th Polytechnic School K-10 with an option to leave after eight or nine years.
I went to three during my 5th grade year - Highview Hills Elementary, Westwood Elementary, and finally Residence Park Elementary K-7.
5th grade? In retrospect, happiest 3 years of my life.....
Ok I'll bite. Three years?
Fractions. If 4 > 2, then why isn't 1/4 > 1/2??
I never liked fractions worst were word problems.
I went to the Seventh Day Adventist school for the first five grades of school. However, for some reason, my fifth grade teacher decided to combine his 5th and 6th grade classes (there were only two of us 5th graders), so I went right from learning 4th grade, to learning 6th grade, and it had a bad effect on my grades, and my mom was having to help me learn the things I hadn’t had a chance to learn.
I kept telling her that it was because they jumped us into 6th grade, and finally, she looked at the six stars on my spelling book, and then went in for a talk with my teacher.
The outcome was that she moved me from private school into the public school system, where I could have regular 5th grade classes. The name of the school was Lincoln School, and the building is still there, but no longer used as a regular school. I found this picture of the school, and it looks like it is being used for something still.
