Now this one I really like! Made my day! "toxic people".......poisonous people, contagiously? Or, poisoned. Very unusual use of the word here, more commonly "disgusting", "dislikeable", "aggravating", "disagreeable". But your use is indeed fitting! I found it to be true of the admin at "that other forum".
I should love to see how you can type input to a post while sitting on your hands! Oh, I see now, keeping the hands unoccupied!
Oh yes Frank the people who post on the forum to which I was referring are indeed the most toxic people I have ever had the misfortune to encounter on any forums..but certainly not the one where you have the problem with the admin.
I've been a a very active poster on there for 5 years...
Because you "fit-in", whereas I did not.
Were you banned, Frank, or did you leave on your own?
I had carried on a series of emails with the admin, who had evidenced rather ridiculous and pointless criticisms of me as a member, finally in exasperation asking me why I can't just post like the others; at that point in time, I did not know that he had banned me permanently already. The whole altercation stemmed from my having used the word "Chinaman".
.... but did you use it to describe Admin?
Frank, in what context did you use 'chinaman?' Who started the emails between you & admin.? If you don't mind my curiosity.............thanks.
I'm pretty sure @Frank Sanoica didn't use that word to describe the admin...………….. Even though he seems to take an impish delight in poking dragons.
LOL at that dragon......
..........I think he did....
Of course not. I was describing our old family doctor's remark as he un-bandaged my burned face at 13. The bandages had been put on the night before in our hospital ER by an Oriental intern, known to our Dr. The Dr. said, "That Chinaman should never have bandaged this."
You know then the Admin's name is/was Kevin Pang? I assumed he was Oriental.
Please see my post #28. Of course I don't mind your curiosity! I really cannot recall exactly how the emails started, outside the forum. Probably via a disgruntled member who had my email ID (I provided it openly), and sent it along with complaint to Admin. He did mention frequent complaints about me. That set me to action with yet another post calling for open discussion of complaints and dislikes, instead of running to "Mommy" all the time: talk man-to-man, as the phrase goes. He hated that one!
The true dragon poking actually was called "Tickling the tail of the dragon" by the scientists at Los Alamos. It referred to the work being done by Louis Slotin in determining values for Plutonium criticality. Enrico Fermi was quoted as saying to him, "Lou, you keep doing that and you'll be dead in a year."
One day, about two years later, the experimenting killed Slotin. He tickled the tail once to many times.
