My favorite is Thomas Jefferson. No other president comes close to the intellectual and educational accomplishments of this man.
Mine was Andrew Jackson, who repelled the British during the War of 1812, and was known as the "People's President". What other President was good enough to grace the $20 bill? Hal
Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Brought the beginnings of a civilized more caring nation with his baby steps into Democratic Socialism. The Republican Capitalists have been trying to destroy his works and legacy ever since!
Thomas Jefferson would have been my pick too if asked a few years ago. But my all time favorite now is Donald J. Trump. Our government has become totally corrupt and President Trump has exposed it and is trying to return our government to the way it was originally.
I agree wholeheartedly. I don't know if the "Tromp" was a typo or not, but Trump is making a big "tromp in the swamp."
I was born during FDR's first term. (1933-1937) He was at the reins well into his 4th term...because the People liked him! He contracted Polio at age 39, and was wheelchair-bound through his Presidencies. I changed my mind...FDR was my favorite, not Jackson! Hal
I was hoping you might change your mind. I too liked Jackson at one time until, after reading his unabridged history, found that he ordered troops to Florida to capture runaway slaves. Whilst there, the devastation they did to the Seminoles is without question some of the worse carnage on what is now American soil.
