I have three persons in mind.
I don't drink alcohol, so that rules me out....
I drink wine, once a week, with my fellow parishioners
Sorry, nobody...…..I'm very happily married! IOW, only with my wife.
I would like to have a drink and have a visit with Thomas Stearn. I would like to know more about him and his living in Leipzig, Germany
Does that rule out you having a drink with the men?
Wife and I only do things as a couple, never/ever separately. Our boat doesn't go out unless she is on it. We always go shopping together. On one of her jobs, the staff would go out on Friday for Happy Hour. She was asked to go, but told the manager "I don't go out without my husband". She was never asked again to go out for Happy Hour and that was fine with both of us.
Some marriages are different than others. We like the way ours is. No "Girls" or "Boys" Day or Night Out.
I think you're missing the point of the question Cody...it's hypothetical
I don't understand Cody. WHY never separately?
I'd love to have drinks with everybody on this forum. What a party that would be!. @Holly Saunders , I'll make a Shirley Temple for you.
I recently had a Shirley Temple margarita. I ordered it light on the tequila. It was delicious.
Forget it then.
Only one of you are taking this in a "buddy" spirit!
I used to have personal drinking rules:
I don't drink with people who start crying about a bad past relationship and mess up my buzz.
I don't drink with people whose sole purpose in going out is to find their soulmate.
I don't drink with people who get embarrassed easily.
I don't drink with people who don't bring adequate funds.
I don't drink with people who want to leave before last call.
I would go drinking with @Faye Fox . Then, no matter how badly I behaved, she could probably match me.
Just not the way we want our marriage to be. Unlike many couples, our interests/hobbies are the same. We love doing many things together. Now, if we met a 60+ married couple who doesn't smoke or cuss, are Christians, like NFL, rodeo and fishing, we'd spend some time with them. They would also need to have an excellent sense-of-humor and enjoy having a beer sometimes. Yes, we are pretty picky with whom we make friends with, but that's just us.
Many couples, young and old/older love to have "time alone" and away from each other. That definitely isn't us!
oooh NOW whose getting huffy>
