There was nothing much to do today so I just went for a ride in the car taking some hilly and windy roads recently paved and enjoyed it thoroughly. The Subaru Imprezza steers quickly and controls are strong but with a light touch. Driving can be fun so why a self driving car.

I will NEVER buy a self driving car. I've enjoyed driving all my life and will do it until I die.

    HEY AL AMOLING,

The car in your avatar is not fully pictured, but from what I can see, I would guess that it is a 1946 to 1948 Chevrolet or Pontiac.

Self drive is you are giving a person/machine the ability to kill you and get away with it. These cars right now can be hacked from outside scary.

No, but I'd go for a self-cleaning house.

Are you nuts? Did you see that movie with Will Smith and the 'helpful' robots?!
I am a control freak. I went out of my way to buy a 2009 manual transmission with roll down windows!
OK, I didn't only buy it for the control features and the fact that young folks probably would not know how to steal it (or want it) It gets 36 mpg.

Just noticed your quote. Once I actually PUT the remote in the freezer! But I also lose my glasses on my own head.

It depends on where you drive. Downtown Philly with a 53' trailer is not my destination of fun.

    No.
The computer driven internet gets screwed up at least once a week so why would I think that a computer driven car would do any better?

    Crank down windows:

Many years ago a Wyoming driver slid off old US 30 and rolled over. The electrolyte ran out of his battery and he couldn't get his windows down. The snow was too heavy to open a door. For three days he ate the frost off the windows and survived until a snow plow hit his car.

I'm with you on the crank windows.
