This is so over my head and seems a bit mean-spirited. Talking in cicles as though it meant something.
Maybe it do, I'll have to consult my Indian guide who has learned the ways of his depressors.

What else can I say, but that there are folks who do not care to investigate a concept like paradox, but instead go into evasions of all sorts.

Because genuine thinking on truths, facts, logic, and the history of ideas is just too difficult, i guess - hope wrongly.

Issues may be discussed and even attacked here, but personal attacks are not encouraged. Argue the issue, not the person.

Although the accusation of “not having an original thought” was meant to provoke a certain amount of ire from me, I do believe there is some substance of the accusation which can be explored.

I do suppose the paradox part of the statement lies within the beliefs of the individual in question, namely myself.
In truth, according to the major portion of scientific and even theological writings, there might be no such thing as an original thought unless of course, one is wrapped up in solipsism whereby the individual believes that he or she is the ONLY conscious individual in the entire universe so has the only original thoughts. Yes, there are some folks who believe that everything is like a movie and the only live and thinking person in that movie are themselves. I digress.

If one were to believe in the words of the writer of Ecclesiastes, then it is acknowledged that there is nothing new under the sun therefore by extension, no thought is original and has been produced thousands if not millions of times before by someone else.
On the other hand, if one were to peruse the possibility that everything in the universe is somehow entangled on the quantum level then indeed, all thought is also entangled and merely a conglomerate of consciousness coming into focus ergo lacking in originality by any singular person.
Now, in the case of Zeno whose writings are still being studied by the academics of today, the continued paradox would be that his theories refute the above statements for indeed, it would seem that his thoughts were original in nature which contradicts the idea that no thought is original.

So, what do I have to say about myself? Do I have an original thought? I am the only one in the world with my exact DNA and fingerprints so I can easily write that each thought I produce is exclusive to me even though someone at some time has thought the same thing and is possibly thinking the same as I am right now but alas, those thoughts are exclusive to them which makes mine......original to me.

This forum is a fun place Mr. Santorio. If you are interested, I can lead you to a Mensa group where you think you might be more comfortable.
