Like @Ike Willis, I too see no reason to apologize for writing an honest but gentlemanly opinion of what you might see as a truth. To many of us, there are some valid concerns about the future of the U.S.A. and you merely posted yours albeit to the angst of someone who is literally unqualified to voice an honest opinion regarding your station in life in the U.S. Just in the past few weeks I personally wonder about your criticizer's abilities to analyze ANY political position much less your personal concerns.
I guess 'some people' interpret things however they need to. Odd for a professional therapist to resort to name calling. Of course, you can get away with more here as opposed to where you were recently rejected. Lol, lol, lol indeed.
@Arlene Richards , if you are talking about SB, if I didn't delete my acct there you wouldn't be there now, lol lol lol. If that's not what you are talking about, well then at least you know where you stand.
Hmm. Currently, I belong to several forums. To date I have never been rejected in any such application. Please do not spread falsehoods dressed up as fact. Any name calling on this thread has been done by you, unfortunately. Honestly, one would think this is a kindergarten playground.
I didn't notice that you had said anything that required an apology, Bill. On the contrary, I apologize to you. Some people haven't learned to play well with others and perhaps I sometimes let them go on too long.
The thread's subject matter on the top of the page starts with, "As I See It " and not how anyone else sees things in the political arena but how @Bill Boggs understands things to be. I read it after the lady with the broom made her comment, answered her statement and then had to read the thread starter again. (Yeah, I had her on ignore but was told what she wrote. ) There is nothing there that should cause dissent within the ranks because he does not indicate that he is dissatisfied with the United States of America but as with most of us is dissatisfied with those who are supposed to be at the helm and how the hope for a better future within the chosen candidates could be any better than now. Our country definitely IS divided beyond belief and one could wonder how and if it will ever be a whole country and indivisible in her most basic principles. Bill and I differ only on a couple of accounts for I absolutely do believe in God and his promises and I do think that Trump has something better to offer. That said, the rest of his sentiments go a long way and should be on the minds of each and every citizen of the U.S.A. The bottom line is that I am sure that Bill and I will both agree that the U.S. has a lot of serious problems to face but it is still the greatest nation on the face of the planet. God willing, it will always be the greatest nation but a nation that every other nation can eventually look up to as a model of the ways things could be for them. For that, we gotta long way to go baby!
I have carefully read through the dialogue here, and must say, the thread is worthy of reading for entertainment's sake, but does not demand contribution. Interesting reading. Frank
Dunno @Frank Sanoica. It's true that the thread does not "demand" contribution but neither does any thread in this entire forum or any other discussion group for that matter. If you mean the stuff that went on concerning the validity of the thread and Bill's status as a citizen, I whole heartedly agree but @Bill Boggs has some very good personal points which does invoke some honest thought. I too am extremely concerned about the future of the U.S. and I too am also concerned as to whether Trump can pull off the next 4 years in a manner befitting his campaign promises. There are no crystal balls, no astrologers and certainly no politcal soothsayers who can tell us what to truthfully expect. As a nation, we owe out over 20 trillion dollars but there are only 350 million citizens in the U.S. I'll let everyone do their own math as to how much in debt each and everyone one of us is. Our military is shot, the VA is shot, the economy is shot, freedom of religion, speech, and the ability for folks to get a decent job....all shot and gone to Hades in a hand basket. Can Trump or dare I say lying Hillary lead this country and get it back on track? Some heavy concerns! Maybe God has turned his back after all............I pray He has not!
As many of you know, je suis une Canadienne. Lol. Seriously though, I empathise with the difficulties America is currently facing. I would like to offer my earnest belief in the integrity, strength, and adaptability of the American people, as a counterpoint to these difficulties. You will overcome. Hugs to you all
