I have five pets. Two dogs Buddy and Oso who reside in the back yard for the most part. I also have three cats, Peppy, Salem and Petey. I wish I could say I have five cats as silly as that may sound. A few months back two of our cats disappeared, Pepper who was the mother cat and Squiggy who was one of our favorites of her kittens. I guess it doesn't help that our cats are kept outside due to the fact that Pepper use to be feral and none of them our house trained. So, its easy for them to leave the yard and go else where. By the way the cats reside in the front yard away from our dogs because its all too obvious they don't get along.

We officially have two pets, Chipper, my little Yorkie-poo, and Tootsie, our Blue Heeler/terrier mix.
Tootsie is the Family Guard Dog (except she is now terrified of the neighbor's white cat because she chased it, and it slapped her in the nose !) She escorts chipper outside when he has to go out and go to the bathroom, after checking to make sure the cat is not around to sneak up on her. If the cat comes around, poor little Chipper is on his own.
Of course, since Chipper doesn't try to chase the cat, the cat mostly just sits there and watches him.

Yesterday, a stray dog showed up at @Joyce Mcgregor 's house, and they were going to send it off to the dog pound; so I now have him here and put ads on craigslist and the Facebook dog finders page to try and find his owners.
So far, he seems to be getting along fine with the other dogs, and likes being here. If we do not find the owners, we will probably just keep him.

We have always had a parade of rescues through our house over the years. Right now, we have a cockatiel, 4 finches, three inside cats, and two dogs! LOL We recently had a new arrival. He's a big, but emaciated, grey and white cat that we've named Hobo. He hobbles on a leg that looks like it was broken, and not set properly. :( Poor little guy! We have managed to get some weight on him, and he has decided that this is his home. There's always room for one more. ;)

Cool! You have a lot of pets, I was always a fan of cats. I think that they are really mysterious animals, and that they hide many secrets.
My father used to have a black cat at his house and whenever I was around I used to play with him, when I was a young child.

That's great, so as they used to say dogs are the real best friends of people. Haha, my yorkie always chases the cats and tries to show how much strength he has, it's very annoying. I hope that the owner of the dog will find him. :)

I know Helene, and we have a small house, but I just cannot turn any of them away! My mom was the same way. I remember when I was a pre-schooler, some mice got into our house, and I would sit in the floor at the corner of our couch, and feed them cookie crumbs. :p I overheard my mother telling my aunt about it and laughing. I got the belief that that was an okay thing to do. :D My kids are the same way...and the madness goes on! :D

Our very first pet is Jedi, a mixed breed. She is very affectionate and very protective of us. Our next dog is Epoy, a pure pekingese that came from the lineage of dog show champions. Our 3rd pet is Tisoy, a mix of spitz and pomeranian. Our 4th pet is Twinkle, she's a rock pigeon that landed on our doorstep. Our 5th pet is Pipoy, a pug who is hyperactive. Our 6th pet is Barbie, a white pekingese who is a week younger than Pipoy. Right now, our pets are the 3 dogs - Tisoy who is 8 years old yesterday, Pipoy who is 3 years old and Barbie, also 30 years old.

Corie, you've got quite a menagerie going on there. When I came to the part of your post about Pipoy, I first read it as a hyperactive PIG. LOL For just a second, I wondered why anyone would want a hyperactive pig!! :D Oh what a long day it's been! Time to snuggle up with MY menagerie and have a nap. I'm obviously tired. :D

I have two ragdoll cats. I just adopted them recently as I was lonely without a pet. They are 9 and 5, mother and daughter, both were breaded for their beautiful babies. I love them already. I didn't want klttens as I am already 72, so I was afraid I would die first and leave them behind. This is 'exactly' what happened to these beautiful babies...so I am their new Mommy. I run the Allison Old Age Home for Cats (just kidding)

The big one at the back is the baby (Caramel), she eats a lot, ;)

The front is the mother (Dutchess), she nibbles. :p

Allison, they are so beautiful! I know what you mean about the home for cats! I run one too, for cats, dogs and anything else that wanders into my yard! :p I'm so glad you adopted them. I always feel like I could never be happy without a cat in my life!

Your two kitties are just gorgeous, Allison. :) I notice that Rag doll cats have the points on them as do Siamese and Himalayan. They are lucky kids to have been adopted together...and living in a loving home with you. :)

@Allison Schuck , those are some good looking kitties. Do they maintain their coats by themselves or do they require some help?

You gave me a big laugh with that pig, hahahaaa. Do you know that my husband is controlling the feeding of Pipoy? Because our pug is a voracious eater and my husband would say that if we give more and more food to Pipoy then he might look more like a PIG than a PUG. Pipoy was a gift from our car's mechanic who lives just in the other block. Pipoy's parents and siblings are all fat, uncomfortably fat that they got sick one by one and they are now all gone. Pipoy's body is like that of a boxer dog that's why he looks really great.

You should see the videos of our pets particularly the rock pigeon. It's really exhilarating. In case you want to see the video, here is the link -
