Hi. I wrote this story on last year's anniversary of JFK's assassination. I remain as intrigued by the dark forces & unexplained 'coincidences' surrounding that horrific day as I do the positive, otherworldly chemistry & magic which JPG&R forged during their short - but infinite, as it so happens - stay together. And the tragic yin & positive yang cast by their respective auras - having been birthed in one brief moment in the 1960's but forever intertwined and captured for all of time.

l call it 'One of The Parts'

Your writing style reminds me of one of our members, Frank Sanoica. :)

We have become "archaeologists" who, having long lost the smell of blood and gunpowder, are content to study the dry bones and missing evidence. Help, we need somebody!

I wonder if we will ever know the answer as to whether there was a conspiracy to kill JFK. I would think by now, some "involved person" would have spilled their guts. Unless someone does and we have really convincing evidence, it seems like the JFK assasination will always be one of history's mysteries.

Nice, Joe. As my contribution to the Continuing Story of (the) Bungled (single) Bullet, I would post, symbolically, a photo of a Glass Onion, if I could find one.

One 'involved person' has actually come forth. And claims that he was the one who fired the fatal head shot. He's in prison for .. I'm not sure what. But there exist multiple interviews with him. Just google : 'James Files.' Hold on a second. Let me make sure that's his name ...Yep. That's it. Of course, there exist other videos disputing his claim to fame. So .. who really knows ?

Yes,I have read of James Files. His story is one more leaf on the pile.

Your mention of the single bullet reminded me of Arlen Spector, the Assistant Council for the warren Commission. My "Arlen" story is how he sent his assistant to the garage to bring around his expensive sports car. When he returned, Arlen asked him if he had let it warm up for two minutes, before driving it. His assistant answered that he had. There was a pause, and Arlen asked "Did you time it?".

Made me break out in two smiles - one for Arlen; one for Files.I've never heard the expression 'one more leaf on the pile.' I quite like it.

One of the factors against the assassination conspiracy theory was that people had a lot of respect for the members of the commission, and their honesty and due diligence. I didn't know Arlen Spector was on it, but I know Jerry Ford was. They examined all the evidence up and down, back and forth, and followed up every lead, leading to the lone gunman conclusion. I mean, I guess maybe more evidence came to light since that time. I will read the James Files, but any crackpot could claim they shot the president.

I meant to post a coffin with a glass lid but now that I look at that one, it looks like a child's coffin but it's the best pic I found.

    I DON'T LIKE IT!

Did you do the McCartney / Walrus mash up in Gimp, by any chance? Pretty hysterical ! .... And .. the coffin - yeah, I'm with you on that. Kind of creepy. Like it could have been a prop in the Chucky movies. :)
