I'm curious about the chalks. Don't they get on everything?? Can't wait for a review! I think once I tried a blonde temporary root cover. It was like a mascara wand, so you kind of streaked the blonde in but I think the issue was it either didn't work well or came off too easily. This was a few years ago and I don't even think I've seen them since but then I haven't really looked.
So @Yvonne Smith , that picture above is the platinum? Then you will put on the lavender? I'm having trouble with inserting quotes again...sorry.
Inserting quotes is not working for me today, either. I am glad to know that it was not just me that can't make it work right. Since the iOS update, several features on this forum do not work right more me anymore, and hopefully, Apple will get all of that resolved soon. Yes, the picture I posted is the platinum. Here are the three Féria pastel shades. I like them all, but don't like the blue on me, and afraid the pink might turn out too much like peach or light orange. The lavender is still a cool shade, and not as pronounced as the cold blue shade; so that is why I have chosen the lavender. I will probably wait a month before I add the lavender, so my hair can recover from the platinum coloring.
Quoting works half the time for me. I didn't upgrade on my iPad...can't. Need more GB. After not being able to quote you, I had no problem in another post quoting Michele Anderson. Anyway, yes I agree on the lavender.
I'd like to give you a feel of prices here too. I usually cut our hair at home, except my back hair, that my Mom cuts for me. When we found the school we spent about 5.45 for short hair style trims and cut. Now it's 9.75, so thing I'll keep cutting at home. We know about how you feel wanting a certain look and got t do at home. Places like CVS has weekly sales on things so does Walgreens. Both online both accessible without getting acct. Both have free cards t ge even more discounts. Both stores and Walmart has hair colors too. All are online to compare prices. Good luck on you new look!
Yesterday I seen a short video of Donald Trump visiting a kindergarten class. It was adorable. A couple of little girls kept saying, "I'm nervous." And the classic remark came from one little girl, "See I told you he didn't have orange hair."
Ahh, I'm drooling. I love these types of colors. Maybe someday I will do this myself. My hair's too long to do it right now, but at some point I'll probably cut it at least a few inches, and maybe then I can try this. I like the lilac, pale pink and also pale bluish-green colors.
Well now all of you have me thinking about my hair. Darn it!! I generally just twist into a rope and twirl it into a bun, and then forget. I admit for years now I haven't even look in a mirror to fix my hair. I did get it cut several months ago, but that's all. It grows so fast, not as fast as it use to, but it does get away from me. So anyone have any ideas for this dark head of hair?
You have beautiful hair and so thick. If I had your hair, I wouldn't do much with it but trims. Maybe some light highlights that would be it.
Marilyn is right you have a wonderful head of thick beautiful hair. You don't need to do much of anything to improve it.
Here is something that you might like for your hair, @Ina I. Wonder . I have been looking on Amazon at the Fanci-full colored creme rinses. Besides the regular blondes and brown tones, they also have some beautiful silvery shades. These are temporary colors, and not damaging to your hair, and easy to do at home. The silver rinse would make the light colored part of your hair stand out, and add a bluish sheen to the black part, and I think that you would really like it. They have several shades of the silver, all the way from an ultra white one to a steel grey, so you can look and see which color you prefer, or try several. Also, amazon has colorchalks for hair, and the artistic side of you is going to love trying those and using all of that silvery hair as a painter's palette ! I ordered some hair chalks, but they are coming on a slow boat from China (literally); so I haven't gotten them yet. So, go play around on Amazon for a while, order whatever strikes your fancy, and then have fun ! !
My hair is so tricky that I only trust one hairdresser to do it. Thankfully she's young and owns the shop so won't be going anywhere else. My hair has a lot of diffrent shades, everything from a strip of white to dark blonde to grey. What's good and weird is the hair that frames my face that I keep shorter always comes in a very white blonde, so if I wear my hair up like I do all the time, all you see is the light hairs framing my face but after about 3 months max I have to get it colored. Roots and highlights. Time it when I plan on going somewhere or the holidays.
I finally did the pastel hair color, and I am still getting used to seeing myself in the mirror. I used the bluer shade first because I thought that would silver out all of the blonde . It did that; but the top came out a very bright blue, especially wet. It is mellowing out a bit now (or I am just getting used to seeing it, maybe) and I am kind of liking it. I have had several compliments on the color, and I even had a guy at the gym say that it was pretty ; so all of that made me feel happy. It is actually a more blue color than it looks like in the avatar picture, but similar. I am thinking about putting a pink streak in it next, because @Ina I. Wonder sent me some hair chalk for Christmas, and I have not tried those yet.
