If any if you men were planning on dressing up as Tranny Granny you can forget it. Not allowed. Not PC. Seems Target and Walmart are pulling these costumes from their shelves. I know @Cody Fousnaugh is Darth Vader so he doesn't have to worry. https://www.yahoo.com/style/tranny-granny-halloween-costume-recalled-by-164654452.html
Here's one comment which I thought was spot on.... Please.... let's just cancel any and all holidays in this country. Everyone in the US will be required to wear simple gray sweatpants and sweatshirts and velcro gray tennis shoes. Never leave your house or buy another product ever again for fear of offending anyone. No more hairstyles, make up or jewerly either. Make everyone look exactly the same. This makes me crazy. What happened to the days where we could wear funny costumes at Halloween and celebrate Christmas and just simply have fun. I remember when I was young a favorite homemade costume was a hobo bet that's offensive now too. Another popular costume when I was a young teen was getting dressed up like a hooker or gypsy. Are they offended? They weren't back then. How about those cute kids that put on a grey wig and a dress and walk with a walker or cane? Pretty offensive to old people...no? I have no problem with anybody being what they want but it really gets my goat when everything becomes offensive. I think that's why we have so many problems.
Is this about Halloween costumes? We don't have Halloween here although we are catching up a bit with those kids doing treat-or-treating for the candies. But in fairness to them, they wear costumes and have makeup on their faces. But with the adults, I still have to see an adult wearing a costume for Halloween. And the way @Chrissy Page "criticized" those costumes, it looks exciting to me.
Three teenagers in Arkansas were arrested just yesterday for wearing clown costumes because they were scaring people. I always thought scary costumes were what Halloween is all about.
Next you'll be arrested for saying "boo"! I'm sorry that some people are afraid of clowns but you will always find somebody afraid of something.
Now on FB I saw a friend from Toronto post about clowns there... http://www.cp24.com/news/teen-in-clown-costume-chases-students-at-west-end-school-police-1.3103324
The police are looking for someone near here who was dressed in a clown costume. He apparently pointed at someone in what was interpreted as a gun gesture, then walked into the woods. The police are looking for him. My question would be, for what? For dressing like a clown? For pointing at someone? For walking into the woods? I don't get it, but I hope that this nonsense will be followed up by a flurry of false arrest charges. Once he removes the make-up or the clown suit, how are they going to know who he is anyhow?
Good point, lol. Just want to add that I know there are actually people who have clown phobias and are petrified of clowns and I'm not laughing or making fun of them. Phobias are real and the fear is real for that person but this is getting out of hand.
