It's enjoyable to do. There are people that can copy a picture for you that you can make a rug out of say a pet.
Lolololol....you couldn't even make a toupee out of the little bit of hair Pickles has. Thanks for the laugh though.
I've heard of people using pet hair to make garments and afghans. Obviously they use the discarded hair. Shannon sheds a lot, and I could get a brushful two or three times a day if I wanted. It's not my thing, but I did sort of wish i'd saved some after I lost my last one. I know that's not what you were talking about, but your post reminded me that I'd heard of it being done.
It's amazing and disgusting how much they shed!! Pickles has short dark fur but I see it everywhere..constantly...can't keep up with it. I hope my lungs aren't filled with it. It gets in places that baffle me but it must be from transfer. Meaning it gets on me then I take it to places Pickles doesn't go....it even gets in places I don't go...I don't get it. Must circulate through the vents... One and only reason I wish I didn't have a dog sometimes.
Got both AA and AAA Ultimate Lithium Batteries for my lights on my Vader costume and Lightsaber. Don't want to be in the costume and have any lights go out on me. Have a party to go to next Saturday night. I'm really wondering how much attention my costume will get. My old/cheaper Vader costume got more attention that I really thought. We went to an outside party and it seemed like everyone wanted their picture taken with me. This costume and alternations cost us enough, so "attention/pictures" is what I hopes happens.
Glad to see you are a well prepared "Darth Vader".....the OCD in me likes that. Something I would do.
Speaking of Halloween, I was wearing a Halloween jersey yesterday. When I went into the bathroom, it was dark, and looking in the mirror above the vanity, I realized I was glowing. Unbeknownst to me, this shirt glowed in the dark. It was kind of neat, as the pumpkins were glowing. I have had this jersey for at least 5 or 6 years, and I never noticed it before! Funny! You should post a pic of yourself and your wife in your outfits in this group @Cody Fousnaugh
I got started very early this morning after reading a post by @Sandy Wood on outdoor lighting. I respnded to that thread which lead me on to conjur up lighting for the other side of the house. I went to my supply of wood pieces, gathered all my tools, nails, spray paint, etc. and got to work. It took about an hour or so to finish mainly to let the paint dry before nailing it under the kitchen window. It is similar to the one in the photo but the condition is not as prestine.
Looking good! Yes, I can see that it would get hot in that. Never heard of an "Ice vest", interesting. How long does it keep you cool?
The Ice Vest works ok, but I really have to wring the water out of it enough or it will end up soaking my t-shirt and dripping into the jump suit. One thing for sure, I'm not as tall as David Prowse (main Darth Vader actor). He is like 6'9" and I'm 6'1". When he played the part, he was a body builder and done some competition in it. Me, well you know.......I'm a Senior and definitely not a body builder. LOL BTW, the Chest Box (on my chest) totally lights up, as well as the two boxes on my belt. Way, way outdoes my last Vader costume, but definitely more expensive.
