If you were leaving a dvd of yourself for your loved ones, what song would you use as the backdrop? One of my personal choices would be " In My Life" by the Beatles. This song really hits home for me, and for all the friends i cherish, that have come into and blessed my life with their presence. My brother also used this song in a video that he put together with certain memories of Dad after he passed away 11 years ago. It is exactly how dad would have felt about the folks in his life. I'd be curious to your selections. Do you have a favorite tune you'd use in your dvd of yourself for your friends and loved ones? Dee
'When you were sweet sixteen' followed by 'That's Life' - don't want the DVD to be too sad I wouldn't do a DVD for that reason, I have written a letter, think that's better
Looking for a song made me too sad and bought memories of my moms death to mind and the tears flowed so I had to switch gears. Maybe where I'm going for my wild times in Hungary, lol.
I just saw the same post on SF, I think @Ken Anderson mentioned yesterday he saw a post by you another forum too. http://www.seniorforums.com/showthread.php/25566-Last-DVD-For-Friends-And-Family Many of us here are familiar with the above forum. I guess it's not against the rules but I keep seeing you doing it and I apologize for bringing it up but I was just wondering...
Fair enough Chrissy. I am on a few other sites, and i do post my blogs to them. I just thought it is a different site and the folks on these other sites can read my blog as well. I am sorry if i caused you any confusion.
This exact same thread was also posted on THIS forum last February, @Dee Roenz . When I asked you about the last thread that you posted twice, you said that you don't know how to tell whether you have posted it before or not. http://www.seniorsonly.club/threads/last-dvd-for-friends-and-loved-ones.2734/ It is a very easy thing to tell whether you have posted a thread here before. One way is to look back through your started threads, and since you have only a few of those, this is very easy, and also how I was able to find the thread that you copied and pasted from before. The other way is to do a keyword search, which would show you any thread that we have on the particular topic, regardless of who started them. Truthfully, they are excellent threads that you are starting, and I don't see any problem if you start the same thread as you have in other forums. Where the problems come in is for the forum owners, because the search engines pick up on the copied and pasted threads. If you simply re-write each thread in your own words, so that I comes out as a different post, and not a pasted post, that should solve everything.
Many of us frequent or lurk on the same forums. In fact the other forum mentioned I looked at and saw the admin was someone who was a member on SF too. Saw a few familiar faces. After a while it's funny how you keep bumping into the same people on senior forums.
I don't mind if you promote your blog here but when you post the exact same posts that you use elsewhere, that's nothing more than spam. In other words, if you are interested in being a part of this forum by communicating with the members of this forum, a part of that may include links to your forum posts but please don't copy and paste stuff that you've included elsewhere. Thanks. Ken Anderson, Administrator, Seniors Only Club
