The guy who plays Beeftina is wonderful! He's gotta be 6 foot, easy. But throw on a dress and a lot of make up, you have the most fascinating human in the world!
Yes, that's right. Every individual has a different opinion on the movie. It's not always good to base on other's reviews.
I see some movies that are very good, but the ratings of them are quite low. Sometimes teenagers don't understand the significance of the movie their watching and later just give it a low rating because of that.
Sounds like a great movie to watch to get scared. I would give it a go at Halloween or Christmas. I don't know why, but I like watching spooky movies on Christmas or during other special events/holidays.
yeah.. But that happens with a lot of people. Some people watch it for jokes and love scenes, and other people prefer something that'll blow their mind and make them think. I, personally prefer my mind blown. And there have been some great ones for that!
We don't like hearing the "F" bomb in any movie, but today it's almost unavoidable. We've actually stopped watching a rented movie because of too much foul language in it.
No kidding. My jaw dropped when my kids and I were watching "Shrek". In the discussion about onions having layers, donkey blurts out the "D" word, (I'm not going to write it because I don't want to offend, but I'm sure you know what it is). For the life of me, I can't understand when that sort of language became acceptable in children's movies.
Sad to say, but I don't usually even notice if a movie has foul language in it anymore, it's become so prevalent. I would prefer not to have that but since I watch movies while I work, ten hours a day, I would quickly run out of movies to watch. What offends me most are the sex scenes that seem to have to be in every movie that is produced today. It doesn't matter if the movie is set in the jungles of Vietnam or the pits of hell, there is always a sex scene. I don't mind them so much when the storyline calls for it, but I resent the idea that every movie has to have a sex scene. If that's what people want, they can rent a porno, so why give it to us in bits and pieces in every movie that is produced?
We've got movies that don't have sex scenes, such as The Hunt For Red October, Under Siege, U-571, Get Smart and some others. The movie, Blended is very cute, but there is some words/innuendo's in it that are borderline bad. To Paris With Love definitely has "language" in it, but my wife loves John Travolta. Unfortunately, we just can't go back to the Lassie and Rin Tin Tin days of TV and movies.
I know exactly what you mean about the sex scenes. Did you watch Sons of Anarchy on FX? I don't know if its just the episodes on Netflix, or if it was on FX, too. But the star, Jax, was showing his butt at least once or twice a season. The producers must have really had a thing for Jax and his butt. It's like I told my husband, "I've seen more of his butt than I have yours!"
Same with me. I loved "The Silence of The Lambs", "Apocalypto", "Gladiator", "The Patriot", "The Passion of the Christ", "Braveheart", those movies certainly did blow my mind in a good way, and gave me a great lesson.
I remember when I was growing up, and I always loved western movies. There was never any kind of foul language, or even anything close to nudity, let alone sex scenes. The closest any movie ever came was when the female star was bathing in the river, and you would see a pinkish shadow in the ripples of the water, and we all understood from that , that she was bathing. I do not watch most of the newer movies, and none of the television programs that are out now. Any that I do watch (which is seldom) are older ones that are on Netflix. Hunt for Red October was a great movie, and one of my most favorites. I have watched it several times, and always enjoy it each time. Another movie that is fairly new, that I really liked was "Life of Pi". They did such a good job on the computer animation that it is sometimes hard to tell when they used the real tiger, and when it is the CGI one.
Have you seen the movie based on Ailene Wournos? Its called "Monster". Watching that movie really blows my mind. She never had a chance. She was given up on before anyone had the chance to love her and teach her. If you watch the documentaries you learn a lot more about her horrible childhood and what led up to her doing what she did. I can't judge her for what she did. Sadly, I understand why it happened the way it did. She was wrong for killing the innocent men, but I get it.
