It's justified for them I guess. Hard to get a job I would think....maybe they don't want one but that stuff costs a lot of money.
Some, who do it, call it "expressing ones self". One thing for sure, I don't understand the whole tattoo, body piercing thing. But, then again, look at all the NFL and NBA players with their tattoos today. With all the tattoos out there today, I'd say that one really secure/good paying careers today is being a Tattoo Artist.
@Patsy Faye They are truly horrible, I agree. I have seen some in public that approach these, er....., depictions of self-expression, but not quite as extreme. The troubling ones for me are those I've seen dripping blood. Usually from some weighty thing dangling from a hole punctured through the eyebrow area. Those present a health hazard, to both the owner and observer. From some of the outlandish things I've seen hooked into and through lips and tongues, I'd think eating properly must be impossible: life-long straw feeding of slurries. Frank

I was kind of thinking that. It's probably the only work they can get. Or the "sideshow" as also mentioned.
