It's 50 degrees here in Dayton, Ohio and the sun is shining bright. It doesn't look like it is going to get above that either. I saw the first frost as my grandson and I were walking to his school's bus stop yesterday. What's it like where you live?
At ' Music City ', it is 46° F and Sunny. No wind, so feels really nice. Heading for a high of 61. Enjoy your day, wherever you may be.
We keep our 2800 sq. ft. household Central Air system at 82 degrees, which it rarely reaches inside. Our house is framed with 2x6 lumber, not 2x4, enabling 50% thicker insulation batts to be installed. This keeps us well-protected against extreme outside heat or cold. Even in extreme triple-digit heat, the humidity is low, making it more bearable outside. We have 8 fans in our home: 5 ceiling, 2 floor, 1 desktop. These are used selectively instead of the AC. When Non-Desert people visit us, they want the AC set to the mid 70's or so. (Wimps) Hal
Currently 72°F in Houston. It's raining and overcast; we've had over 3" of rain since last night. We keep our thermostat at 75° most days and a bit lower overnight.
Our average June temp is 83. But, there have been days this month when it's been 10 degrees above that. Fortunately, unlike where we lived before (northeastern Florida), the humidity is only 22% or so. When it's 22% here, it's 44% or higher there. We keep our AC set at 77 during the day, until the evening, when we can finally open up patio door and get some fresh air in the apartment. At night, we generally will have the thermostat set at "heat" and 77 degrees. Since we only live a few miles from the "foothills into the Rockies", our overnight temp can dip into the lower 50's. This is the first time we lived this close to the foothills of the Rockies.
82 right now a/c unit downstairs on low to keep humidity away. Window fans upstairs set to draw in cool air through the night and during the day switched to outtake since no one is usually upstairs.
