The mainstream media apparently has no idea how ridiculous it sounds expounding about fake news, while being the major proponent of it. It's as if we're living in the middle of a theater, with a farce playing out on stage, but the players think they're serious actors.
In this, and many of their other goals, they are following Nazi tactics. "The bigger the lie, the more it will be believed." -- Adolph Hitler (Mein Kampf) "When one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. Keep up the lie, even to the point of looking ridiculous." -- Joseph Goebbels "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." -- Joseph Goebbels In describing Adolph Hitler, the U.S. Office of Strategic Services said, "His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it."
Yes, that sounds spot on with regard to the mainstream media, the left, and some of the right. Fortunately for the Nazis, the internet didn't exist. Fortunately for us, it does exist today, and despite tactics by the media and Facebook, Twitter and no doubt other social media platforms to quash the truth, some of us are determined to get it out into the light of day.
Still, if you look back on the women who were accusing Trump of groping them, or whatever, you can see that it works on some people. Despite the fact that there were no facts brought forward to support their stories, I knew several people who, when one after another came forward with these accusations, finally decided that there had to be something to it because there were so many of them. Remember Herman Cain and his 2012 bid for the Republican nomination? Despite the fact that there were no previous such allegations, one woman came forward to accuse him of sexual harassment. He denied it, and there was nothing to substantiate the allegation. Then another came forward. Then two more. After he suspended his campaign, they all went away and we heard nothing more of it. They had served their purpose. Being black provides no protection for a Republican, it seems.
Ken; The democrats offered money for any dirt on Trump once that happens people start coming out of the wood work claiming anything to get money. Why these women have not come forward before he is rich enough for any lawyer who wants to make a name for himself would take the case. If enough money was offered you could find someone who saw Ken riding a bicycle on the moon and also have a few witnesses to back them up
The ministry of truth from Orwell’s 1984 is getting closer every day now the EU is calling for blocking fake news. They are not elected they are only a group of elites puppets. China blocks fake news any news the government does not like. North Korea has fake news anything that the government does not like. The US has fake news anything the government and main street media does not like. Open source is the only way to fight against this new wave that they would like to bring in. Thank goodness for places like forums that until now you can speak freely.
I really hope not because it can easily lead to censorship and panels of so called experts who will tell us what is the truth and what isn't. I'd rather figure it out on my own, like I have been doing all along by reading both the left and right views on a story. You can usually tell by what's left after they cancel each other out...just the facts remain. That's all I want...facts, not opinions.
