There has been a break in the weather - no rain, wind, snow, or freezing temperatures so I decided I would bundle up my two youngest granddaughters and take them outside for a few minutes. It turned out that the two year old got excited because she thought we were going for a walk. Woe is me, I thought as we started out the door. She was explaining in her own two year old language to her one year old sister "Ya Ya" that we were going for a walk, Ok?"

Once outside on the porch, I said No, Jazlyn no walk today. Oh the saddest face I saw. Oh come on let's go for a walk.

Walks are wonderful, as long as we are able;) Especially with two lil cuties that ewwwwwww, and ahhhhhh about everything in the world around them. I love to see how excited children get over such simple things. I think we all need to let our "kids" out for a walk, or just enjoying the simple things around us, ewwwwwwwing and ahhhhhhhhing;)

I sure admire you for your work-ethic Holly:) Especially on those "bad weather" days when I'm sure you'd rather snuggle into bed. I am trying to get a job now. I'm still able, I think, and I am going to go crazy not having something on my schedule;) Just part-time for me, but I can't wait:) God bless, and have a wonderful Christmas, you too @Von Jones

I would take Jazlyn and Yvonne who was in the stroller then walking during the summer and it's funny because Jazlyn was leading me by the hand during the walk. I knew Yvonne's little legs were not going to go as fast so I had to keep telling Jazlyn to slow down. Yvonne didn't whimper, whine or make any complete stops at all. Yvonne is all for new experiences and it gets her into trouble, at least when she's with Grandma.

They both enjoyed the walk and went right off to sleep at naptime.

I got invited to go out for a walk around our swampy lake, and it was awesome. I'm worn out, but at first I said no, then I decided to practice what I preach and called them back to say YES!! Thanks for inspiring me Von!! Denise
