I said to Fabs this morning that we must have lost 25 this year, then I couldn't think of 'all' the names
so I changed it to at least 20 !
On the Express list, there are a lot of names I'm not familiar with, so I reckon 25 that 'I know' would be right
for me - weird year all round

Father Figure is the one I remember the most hearing on radio and in the bars.. 1988 I think. I never was much of a wham fan

That was an equal fave of mine, maybe even more so, glad you posted it too. I was a Wham fan, but liked George's stuff, it was more grown-up I think is what I thought at the time;) Such a hunk imo, loved him.

I guess I am so out of touch because his obituary was the first I'd heard of him.

I never had heard of him either. I have heard of Boy George, it seems someone confused the two the other day.

That makes three of us who have no idea who he is. I have heard of Boy George though, just barely.

I reckon one of his biggest hits will also be his memorial forever...given that he died on Christmas day of a heart attack... the first words of this song...

Last Christmas I gave you my heart......
