My hubby always buys me a really nice card ,and a few scrathie lotto cards ,which I got $40 in winnings from ....he also, insisted on paying for a velvet smooth battery operated foot smoother (it's used for rough heels or other parts of your feet that may be a little rough) I was going to buy last time we were down in the city .. At our ages it's hard we really don't need a great deal of stuff My daughter bought us a stand ONLY ..for our new BBQ and a few accessories to go with it for the barbie ,as well as a fancy solar light as I like birds and this has birds on it ..I will take a couple of photos and come back and post them.. It's summer here and we had the hottest Christmas Day in the WORLD yesterday ( Christmas Day ) you may notice in the background of the solar light photo the baby apples on my tree ..and that poor tree is growing in solid limestone ..hubs spent two days with a jackhammer digging a hole to plant the tree about 8 years ago
A couple of mine I have already mentioned in another thread. I got a dancing cat, which also serves as an external speaker, and which our cat, Ella, has taken a dislike to. Then there is the pet cube, which I am going to love once I've figured it out and set it up. It lets me talk to my cats while I am away, and even play laser chase, which I think Ella will enjoy. Then, there is a remote control police car, which doubles as an instrument of torture for Ella. The poor cat has been walking around like she has PTSD today, worried about what new thing is going to move or sing to her. Lastly, there was an excellent Christmas supper, prepared by my wife, who spent the better part of the day on it. Not exactly a gift, but it is cold here, and there is snow and ice too. My Chev. Tracker got stuck in the driveway yesterday. Even though it was shoveled and I have studded tires, it got stuck on the ice. All the wheels would do was spin. I had to have someone push it today to get it out of the ice spot it was in.
Kate I love that Solar light...I want one of those... ...good grief, I can't believe your apple tree is growing in solid Limestone...wow!! What temperature was it yesterday at your place.! hottest ever Christmas day..?..were you running around in the nuddy to keep cool?
