I'm sorry to hear that @Patsy Faye. Did you like to draw in the past? I remember when I took art classes in school that I actually did like to sketch and I wasn't to bad at this...but once I got out of school I just didn't pursue this any further. Last Christmas I bought myself a beginner's paint set and this Christmas I bought two sketch pads. This weekend I will going on the side of town where Hobby Lobby is located and I will stop and get the sketching pencils and a canvas or two...maybe even an easel. Do you have arthritis? I know that I have some but so far I have been able to manage the painful times without having to get a prescription for it. Are there days your fingers and hands aren't as painful and restricted? If so, maybe that is when you could try drawing.
Yes arthritis Babs Always wished I could draw and paint, I've seen some pictures on here lately that got me thinking, maybe I could But me hands and fingers are too far gone I remember Ken saying he used a hand ball which helped his hands - I wonder, just a little scared to try as my hand can swell up ............... @Babs Hunt
Give that ball a try @Patsy Faye...just start of slowly. There really is a lot of truth to the saying if you don't use it, you will lose it. But there's always hope too that if we start reusing we can get some of what we have lost back.
This one looks good and I feel I could manage better than a ball shape https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/lnm/NEO-...483101628&sr=8-4&keywords=hand+excersize+ball @Babs Hunt
Rubber gloves, I can't wash up without them, my skin gets to dry and sore... Kitchen paper...I use it for so many things... Microfibre dusters... ditto the above..
remote control....for my TV....and remote control for my Lights... and also the Hive app on my phone which allows me to turn the lights and the heating on remotely when I'm out of the house ( I know they aren't probably classed as 'simple'' inventions ), but I have got so used to having them I'd find it difficult to be without
Whipped cream that comes in a can.. Just turn the can upside down and out comes real whipped cream all sweetened by moving the nozzle sideways................................
