On the other hand @Bobby Cole If a big fish has lived in a large space and is then moved to a small space...will the big fish continue to thrive...or die?
I agree @Ken Anderson They don't want us climbing out of the box to explore what is outside of it...and they will do whatever it takes to keep us in that box.
Interesting reply Ken. Don't totally agree, but you definitely could be right with this. Wife and I just don't look at what's right and/or wrong with our government, we just "go with the flow".
In the case of fish, they die. In the case of humans, we survive but what good is survival if all initiative to be in the greater pond is gone from us? If we are fed, housed and have some semblance of daily accomplishment then all will be well for those who accept that kind of life. Even now, we can see that some do not even want to accomplish anything but would rather sit around and be fed and housed by the government and all we need do is look outside our door for the proof of it. I am firmly convinced that the recent run for the presidency might have been different if Sanders would have been the front runner against Trump for indeed there is a vast number of people who like the idea of a non-compensatory financial system whereby everyone gets a lot of free stuff they believe no one has to work for. Of such is the ignorance of our present new generation of children who will never age in their capacity for mental growth and later die under the government spell of never knowing what it's like to be greater than they could have been.
Because the Agenda has been to brainwash our children and grandchildren to not think outside of the box many will become "robots" doing everything they are told to do. Yet I believe many also will fight to get out of that box and experience the freedom to make their own choices, etc. Men and women have fought throughout the generations for their rights...and even if the Agenda is to make people think they have none...there will always be those who will not accept this.
Only 2000 citizens involved in the "giveaway"? Our Pentagon Department "gives" away salaries all but guaranteed in perpetuity to ONE MILLION +/- civilian employees, not military. The average wage per employee is $200,000 per annum. What can that many civilian employees in a Department having 1.3 million members in it's Military possibly be doing beneficially? Frank
This is just an experiment they are conducting in Finland @Frank Sanoica. So they won't use everybody in it...if they did give everyone free money....then no one would work!
Perhaps a look at " Ray Bradbury's, Fahrenheit 451" might be in order. Books and the worlds that are contained within them are banished and the owners of them are persecuted. The eventuality is that only a few people are left who love them so much that they actually become them. Perhaps I have gone a tad off topic but when everything is provided for a person then human initiative and imagination is all but banished. Even a prisoner with a 20 year sentence would be better off for at least he can imagine a future after his price has been paid.
I absolutely love Stoic philosophy especially the musings of Epictetus. You guys would get along very well.
@Babs Hunt "This is just an experiment they are conducting in Finland" Yes, I understand that. Just sayin' we here Americans throw away an enormous amount of dough frivolously. Frank
Why do you think the people of N Korea are happy Bobby They 'have' to show that they are - Otherwise 'death becomes them' !
That's the problem, too many (probably most) people just go with the flow. No need to think for yourself, the government will tell you what you need to know.
