The vicious circle of racists. How do you know he is racist because some people say so. Why does some people say that because he is racists. The stupidity goes round and around.

In my opinion 'whites' created racism
Racism is stupid beyond belief, never will I understand the reasoning
If blacks have become racist, can't say I blame them
There are some cultures I don't like, nor agree with, so I wouldn't visit that country or mingle with the people
But I would never hurl insults, I would just ignore what I don't like

    rac·ism
    /ˈrāˌsizəm/

    noun

    • 1.prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior:"a program to combat racism"synonyms:racial discrimination, racialism, racial prejudice, xenophobia, chauvinism, ... more
    Powered by Oxford Dictionaries

I think the "elite" created racism. I don't think it's so much an opinion of one's own race being superior... as it is an opinion of some in a race believing they are superior to another race. And if they have the position in life and the means to influence others of that same race to that same position then they "become King of the Hill" and can influence others of their race into believing their opinion is right and just.

Of course, its all about 'influence' Babs
When we asked the Jamaicans to come here to live and work back in the 50s, they were met with hostility from
the people here. They worked hard and tried to ignore the hostility
Their children however, looked upon the hostility as very unfair on the parents and grew up with 'attitude'
    Don't blame them one bit
If people are invited to join a community, they deserve a fair chance

Some people will always have a problem when people come to the U.S. and continue to speak their native tongue in public or even have a heavy accent. There has always been a problem with that concerning people coming here from Mexico to live/work as well as the "boat people"/Vietnamese. I believe both Chief Auto Parts and Pep Boy's in So. California have parts location signs in their stores that are in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

@Cody Fousnaugh - I think the priority for any foreign person entering a country is that they speak
that language. Mainly out of respect for the host country but also it shows effort and willingness

If the person is going to actually live there. If visiting, that's a different thing. It's amazing how many people, mainly young adults, in foreign countries can speak English and speak it very well.

Unfortunately, the U.S. doesn't make it hard for folks to live here. It's not just some stores that put signs in different languages, a lot of Instruction Manuals for items are in different languages as well. Some government agencies, like law enforcement, have to have officers that are Bilingual to communicate with some folks.

If a person complains about a person/person's who don't speak English or speaks poor English, some say that person is a racist.

The police and other agencies also have to have an interpreter - not good !
Does that make me a racist - of course not, the word is used far too often

I appreciate @Babs Hunt putting up the definition of racism. I think it would be good to have a commercial on TV, or anywhere the majority of humans might read it and actually know what it is. The ignorance I'm seeing like the vid someone put up about the millenials not knowing what the Civil War was made me want to cry in shame:(

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if some people thought racists are people that compete in "games" or sports that "race" for the finish line:confused:

Seems to me the people that cry racist at every turn just don't have any evidence of wrong-doing so they can always start that rumor about a person. Push the biggest buttons people "seem" to have nowadays if you want to start something.

Sometimes I think the words "racism" and "prejudism" go hand-in-hand when it comes to being overstated.

Not to change the OP, but some folks think 55+ Communities is "prejudism" against lower age brackets.

Black lives matter is the only one who is not racist that’s what they are teaching

Baltimore teachers teach anti-white racism to little school children

Was unable to view the video, but 'if' its true, then the school should be shut down or
if its a solo teacher, dismissed.
Of course it works both ways, racism is still rife but to teach this in schools ? Outrageous
We have Muslim schools set up over here to teach the same :(

With all the things children have access to today, it's hard to shelter them anymore:( I know there are families that home-school, don't even have tv's, maybe don't allow computers, but to me that is one of the worst parts of these things. Kids don't get the learn or see the "good" things, like exploring the world, participating in school activities that are healthy, learning how to interact with other children. There's just so much bad, parents go to extremes to try and protect their kids. Thing is, dealing with some of those difficulties can also prepare the kids on how to handle themselves amongst wolves.

I don't know the answer, I think a lot about kids of today though:( I would not want to be young in this day and age.
