I like to be on the forum during these things, and I know many prefer to be elsewhere, but if you want to chat about the goings on, and celebrate our New President with me, I will be here. I won't say it's going to be stress-free for me, and many like me but it would be nice to be around others that truly are happy Trump will be our President Please feel free to celebrate any way you want, no @Ike Willis no jumping out of cake naked k?? Inauguration of a new President, elected by the people of the United States, what a great reminder of our freedom in this country. The right to vote, and choose who "we" want to lead us. I think I've taken that for granted too, many times in my life. Not this Friday!!

Oh I'm glad @Babs Hunt I think we can have some fun I just got to say it, I hope Melania goes more "classic" than like some of those celebrities, yuck. My fave are always the simpler, classic dresses. I think if a person is beautiful, their beauty is more exemplified by a simpler dress. Something like this, and no guys, I promise not to just talk about clothing, LOL!! I don't really like the pointy shoulder on this, but I like it because it's more modest than so many of the dresses "starlets" wear. I do care much more what she does as first lady, but I am hoping for simple. If I were her, I'd want to be as comfy as possible, LOL! But I guess being older, I've been through my time of wanting to "dress up"
@Denise Happyfeet She seems to like to wear the color white alot or at least I noticed she was in that color for most of the events I saw her at. I'm sure she will be just beautiful for the Inauguration...as the "Donald" will probably want to give his approval for what she wears.
And those have been my fave outfits I've seen her in, fairly simple-cut white, sleeveless dresses. She's so lovely, it's like taking a "too" fancy frame on an already gorgeous painting, you never want to draw away from the painting Some "famous" women don't ever get that. On the other hand, a dress can "make" the woman I suppose PS and Ivanka, love how she dresses I wonder if they are close I could see them being good bud'ettes
I'm looking forward to the Inauguration, to the fact that once Trump is sworn in he will be our President instead of our President-elect. Maybe that will make a difference to the "die hards" that just can't seem to accept that fact!
I doubt it will Babs, these folks won't ever shut-up is my guess. They are bound and determined to do what they think is best for America (or maybe just themselves) when in reality, they couldn't do much worse. They are a laughing-stock, and many see them as poor losers. I believe people that really care about America as a whole, are getting behind our new President and will do all they can to help, rather than hinder. I do hope this doesn't turn into another left against right thread, but I suppose it might. I started the thread and I will leave the results to God. I am hoping we have fun and celebrate our new family in the Whitehouse
Aw gee Denise. It ain't fun if you can't do it naked. Ha-Ha. I'll be watching as much as I can. There's bound to be some trouble there, with all the haters.
I'm sure there will be, but even that will be fun seeing them "escorted" out It's embarrassing at times to even be a part of the human-race.
The name calling has to stop, on both sides. It really is time to come together. I hope we see it happening!
I don’t want to see any problem but if there was I hope the people involved say that people like all the different celebrities told them to do it. Then they can round up all these people of privilege and give them a holiday in Guantanamo
It's supposed to rain that day so that might dampen any protesters. I think the women's march is the next day, I think.
I'll be watching.........out of curiousity more than anything. Not totally sold on Trump yet, but getting there.
