Oh, and BTW, I was lucky and remembered the cute/fluffy stuffed bear that my wife pointed out to me this last weekend at Walmart that she really wanted for Valentines Day. Just got back home from there with a White one and a very nice "Wife/Love" type Valentines Day card for her. She will love it!
I still have a little stuffed bear and another little tiger that I took into the hospital for hubbys last Valentines Day. I also have all the little stuffed animals that were a tradition for me to take into the hospital when he was there over the years...I have quite a few. He was such a macho man yet he loved those little bears or whatever I found to buy and expected them and his eyes lit up when he would see me coming to visit and I had one. Another memory I had forgotten til now.
Yes, 13 years and I can still cry....that teddy bear I was talking about also has his last breath and my tears on it. When he was dying I put it next to him...
This is the song I remember playing all the time on the radio when we first met...how true it is now...all that's left is a band of gold. Thankfully I have 2 wonderful children and 5 awesome grandsons that are a part of him....
When I started my thread on favorite love movies for Valentine's Day I didn't realize that romantic love is usually the first thing that comes to mind here. But love has many forms and so I changed my thread title to encompass those many forms because the last thing I want to do is bring pain to those who have lost their romantic loves. Love is wonderful no matter what form it takes so I hope y'all will share some of your favorite love movies too as I have; It's true that love doesn't make the world go round...but it does make it worth the ride.
This is one of my most favorite movies, too, @Patsy Faye , and I can watch it over and over and love it every time. The roof garden is just so beautiful, and such a touching part of the movie as well. Here is the trailer for this movie, @Babs Hunt , and I believe that you will really enjoy watching this also.
I have seen this movie! Thanks for putting up the trailer @Yvonne Smith....and I agree with you and @Patsy Faye...it's a keeper for sure!
