The Tx Outlaw is a handle from another era. Soon to be married 26 years. Texas born and bred ! Love plants, adult coloring-mostly when we actually have a winter. I adore British and Canadian television programs. Enjoy reading - the right material. And, I guess everything else that might be of interest about me, will come out in due time as I read and reply to posts.I must say was very glad to find this site. Everyone has been very nice in welcoming me aboard
Welcome to the Forum, and I am sure you will find something of interest on here. We are a diverse bunch and have a lot of different interests;so some of them are sure to catch your fancy ! I am an Idaho transplant now living in the South, and we have other members here that are from Texas, or at least have lived there; so you should have a few kindred spirits here, too. We have a whole section on gardening, and quite a few of us who like to garden, and share our gardening stories. It was 80 here today, and I have been working outside the last few days, trying to get the yard raked and looking like spring.
Welcome to the forum @TxOutlaw Mitchell , from London England.. I don't get onto the main part of the forum as much as I'd like because I'm still working for a living, so I spend most of what little time I have in the word game section... but you'll find many things to enjoy on here..
Was 92 here yesterday! We live in apartment- but still have many plants that I tend to. I love digging in dirt
Wow, I guess I can just stop bragging about my 80 degree weather then, Tex........ you definitely have us beat ! ! Do you have a swimming pool with your apartment complex, I hope ? We just about live in our little backyard pool in the hot summer weather. I do not do well with the humidity, so this is the time of year when i can go outside and do yardwork, and then once it gets hot, I only go out early or late to water the plants and flowers, and we spend as much time as possible out in the swimming pool. What all kinds of plants are you growing ?
Yes, it has a pool...we have never been in. I don't flop fat in public Anyway there are other reasons, but we just have never used it. We also have a golf course very close by..we don't play golf either. In the summertime here..I get out only in the coolest parts of the day,for obvious reasons- the heat is a killer here. As for plants, ivy, Chinese evergreen, spider plant, airplane plant, corn plant.. different ones. today i bought me a Boston fern , always wanted one, and today at Wally World they had one for $5 that looked hearty. Most of the plants i have, I got from where I use to work- they would all but die, so then I would buy them discounted and bring them back to life at home.
Check your messages (private conversations), which you can find in the upper right of the page -- the thing that looks like an envelope.
@TxOutlaw Mitchell Welcome! We always check Wally's scrap bin plants, many half-dead; we got our Date Palm there four years ago, about a foot tall, all brown and shriveled, for fifteen bucks. Here it is last year: Nearly as high as the house! Last year it produced seed pods, but no fruit. Considering how much I love dates, I'm hoping for some this year! Frank
First.........Welcome! We have some of that "fat" as well, which just seems to be a part of older age for some, but we use our apt. complex pool on the weekend mornings around 9AM or so. Nobody up yet and nobody in the pool either. But, that's only after a number of warm-to-hot days to warm up the pool water.
Just to clarify...um had to change to real name. Not trying to be shady person...but some of past sites I hsve been on..were a tad questionable to ...so anyways now ya know.
You do not have to use your actual name here, @Gloria Mitchell . Some of us do, and some do not, and either way is fine. Ken wanted it to seem like we were chatting with real people with with real People-names, and not just internet handles, which can sometimes be confusing. We all got used to it, and I think that you will come to like this, too. It is a common occurrence for new people to sign up with their regular internet name/handle, and then go through the process of picking a regular-sounding name.
