I used to like Seattle. When I worked at the Rescue Mission as assistant program director and later as the Educational Director I sort of liked the city or as much as I can like any city. But, with the way things have been going there, such as being a sanctuary city and a good home for BLM I'm backing away from my previous stance on a once great place. Now, along with everything else, they have decided to change the definition of the extremely descriptive word, "community". It used to have a meaning of a group of people who thrive in an area who seek a common goal or a common good. Not so anymore I'm afraid. Criminals and people who are suspected of being criminals can no longer be called "suspects". The police, DA, judges, et al must now call them "Community Members". The guy who shot 3 cops, uh......Denarius what's his name, can no longer be called a criminal, a suspect or anything else but a community member. For some reason, I cannot for the very life of me fit someone who is outside the common good of a group of people a member of that community. Perhaps, just perhaps they mean that the suspects and criminals are members of the "crime" community. Yeah, maybe that's what they mean.........not!
“The change appears to be part of a routine update by the software developer, which services more than 600 law enforcement agencies worldwide,” department spokesman Jonah Spangenthal-Lee said. “The department’s force review section has not received any inquiries about the change.” “I think this is all in an effort to make sure our report writing sounds politically correct,” Seattle Police Officers’ Guild Kevin Stuckey told KIRO 7. http://mynorthwest.com/628437/commu...pects-on-seattle-police-use-of-force-reports/
