I think my costume will be a potato chip this year How about you? (purely fiction for laughs…I don't even celebrate halloween except virtually)
Thanks for the compliment! The year before (2013), my wife was dressed as Princess Leia and that was the first year I was Vader. She looked cool as Princess Leia, but was really cool looking in the Stormtrooper costume. As I posted earlier in this Thread, I put in quite a bit of work on the Vader costume. I didn't have to do much work on her Stormtrooper costume, but did "touch-up" a couple of things. All three of the costumes (Leia, Vader, Stormtrooper) were bought online. The FX Lightsaber was bought at Wal Mart for my Star Wars collection I have.
No. Very few Halloween Party's here for adults. This year and last, the Florida/Georgia football game was the same weekend and HERE that game is much more important than Halloween is. We aren't much into college football, but will end up watching it.
Hey, with the new Star Wars VII movie coming December 14th (as you know)...you should see if they need you two for halftime entertainment or other. Send the coordinators your photos. I hate to say this but when the new movie hype is at it's peak it would be a good time to turn a profit on your collection. I know, I know, collections are hard to let go of. I imagine this will be the last Star Wars movie since Harrison Ford, Mark Hammil, and Carrie Fisher will be hard to replace. If that's the case then maybe your collection would grow in value after that. You never know. I sound like such an opportunist lol.
It comes out here on December 18th...have already checked. As far as working at a theater in our costumes goes, our costumes are good, but there are much better Vader and Stormtrooper costumes out there. We got about the cheapest ones that were online.......less than $100 each. I've seen Vader costumes for $800 to $1000 and they looked like they just came off of the Set/filming! Nope, won't get rid of any of my Star Wars stuff. Wife and I like it way to much to sell.
That makes perfect sense, Cody...holding onto your collection is worth way more than money if it gives you happiness and is a passion you and your wife can both share in the enjoyment. That's what keeps couples together for life and gives you a quality of life that is immeasurable. Btw, I didn't mean for you to use your costumes in a theater. I meant outdoors at the Florida/Georgia Football Game. You know, like during halftime like the Super Bowl has all kinds of different characters entertaining the fans that have nothing to do with football. But your game may only have a band playing…so scratch that idea lol You could even do birthday parties and make some money to upgrade your collection or use it for events coming up for Star Wars Fans like these: http://www.starwars.com/news/force-friday-event-guide
Here is my contribution to this Halloween thread, a homemade video that is created for personal use only. But we would love to see it going viral in youtube. The gist of this video is a Halloween prank on teh housemaids. And when those scared stiff housemaids took their revenge, welll, you have to see the entire video to know what happened. I hope you will enjoy watching this HALLOWEEN BULAGA created by my husband and starring himself. Here it is...
