As we prepare to "pig" out on the 4th, I thought a couple of local news stories seemed appropriate.

Animal Control Trying to Catch a Pig. Leave it to me to wonder if Animal Control was made up of former UK defensive men, not being able to tackle a pig. Of course it could be the UK QB that seems to have difficulty holding on to the old pigskin. I should probably stop hamming it up at the expense of a collegiate team.

I'm thinking the farm might be Clifty Farms. I love their old country ham.

Now on to a story with a dog named pig.

I won't BOAR you any longer and wish you a happy 4th of July.

Be a convicted terrorist and admit to it serve time in prison. He killed an America solder and blinded another. If you are a person from a terrorist family and now live in Canada you can get an apology from the Canadian government and 10 million dollars

Lexington has 4 Stations with combined 22 hours a day of "local" news. The competition for advertising dollars is fierce. Those advertisers are trying to become the shopping hub of the region.... therefore lighthearted topics are preferred. Paint Lexington as a safe, happy environment to spend a day shopping.

While crime in Lexington does not go unreported, a heaping helping of crime reports from outside Lexington is required. Plus, those crimes are always portrayed as more "heinous" than the garden variety found in Lexington. When all else fails, report on Cincinnati and Louisville homicides which are always more horrifying and jaw dropping.

Lexington has developed that haughtiness that used to be the sole domain of Louisville.
