It seems a cop can make an instant judgement and shoot but we're not allowed to opine?

Personally I will always side with a cop if there is even the smallest evidence to justify actions. I also expect professional action. Giving the BOD works both ways. When no guilt is conceded as a possibility from details available a debate is simply impossible.

 

I'm thinking he made a mistake, only on the force for 2 years....unfortunately it was a deadly mistake and now the family will have to continue on somehow...very sad case. No winners.

I hope he didnt do it on purpose because he was a nut job.

Also, there were no weapons found at the scene.

Strange case and I can't wait to hear what the two officers have to say...may take a while.

Two years as a cop is hardly a rookie. Cops learn and get old quick, or, they ain't cops fer long.

 

Sounded like a rookie to me but what do I know. Also, who knows how long he's been out on the streets though?

? Multiple times !! He must have REEEEALLLY had a good reason.

YIKES, this is going to get interesting and I hate even saying that because a lovely woman just lost her life.

She was also blonde, blue eyed, educated and soon to be married. I'm thinking it wasn't a bad neighborhood this happened in but I'm not finding that info...so no reason for the officer to be on high alert or jittery.

All too often the 'Blue Line' holds and a cop on scene will not give evidence against another of their colleagues.

 

Right now, her son's pretty much of a "cop hater" and he says "America is awful!".

 

I would be pretty angry too.
