I would think he turned sideways to shoot her anyway. If nothing else it would have recorded the conversation if anything and that would help also.
There is only two people, and the main people in this shooting, that the PD hasn't released their statements yet........both officers in the patrol car. Being there is so much commotion going on here and in Australia, something had better be explained and soon.
If you want a current photo of me check out the post office Frank BTW @Frank Sanoica I've had to move from three other boards for one reason or another and now use caution. Had any like problems? If you dare an unpopular position on some forums you get attacked personally or worse. Seems pretty fair here to date.
Unfortunately law enforcement tactic publicity is leading to a siege mentality, even a fortress mentality, particularly in colored neighborhoods. Now please don't misunderstand, cops will often act differently in neighborhoods of higher crime and I can understand that, but there must be protocols and repercussions for deviation.
Latest....:.... Mohamed Noor, 31, released a statement saying he 'empathizes with the loss others are experiencing' but demanded everyone respect his privacy after he fatally shot the 40-year-old once though the abdomen. ''demanded everyone respect his privacy''???? WTH is he on?.... this guy is on drugs... respect HIS privacy??? God give me strength!!! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4707192/Australian-woman-died-single-shot-abdomen.html
Yes, that's a pretty stupid statement he made. "Privacy"...........no way! We want to know why he pulled his service weapon and shot her.
Respect in the same sentence as privacy is an oxymoron in this case. Respect is earned an a guy with a weapon is not given carte blanche. Some times I think police live in a cocoon, or never never land. And he 'demanded' on top of that!
Seems the partner of the police officer was stunned by what his partner did. This is from the Daily Mail.... The partner of a Minneapolis cop who shot dead bride-to-be Justine Damond was 'stunned' when the officer opened fire through a squad car door, sources say. Officer Matthew Harrity, who was in the driving seat, was speaking to Damond after she called 911 to report a sexual assault occurring near her home, when his partner reached across him and fatally shot her in the abdomen. A police source told KARE11 that Harrity was 'left stunned' by Noor's actions. The revelation makes the motive for shooting all the more mysterious as it appears that Harrity did not view Damond as posing a threat. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, BCA, investigating the incident, is remaining tight lipped about what happened late that Saturday night until they finish interviewing Noor and Harrity as part of their probe. Meanwhile, the Mayor of Minneapolis Betsy Hodges is demanding to know why neither officer had their bodycam turned on at the time, which she called a 'key question' for investigators. Noor, 31, has since offered his 'condolences' but demanded everyone respect his privacy after opening fire on the 40-year-old yoga instructor. @Kalvin Mitnic Har, Har! Made me think back about the misery and loathing encountered by scuffling with that other Seniors Forum, from which I had been forcefully ejected, as were a number of our Members now languishing herein. Shouldn't name names, I suppose, but I believe @Chrissy Cross might have some words related to this topic. Personally, I have belonged to various firearms-related forums, Science, and Car and/or Truck forums, all of which might involve forceful differences of opinion from time to time. If anything, I believe such banter has led me to be less insistent when confronted by opposing opinion. I AM glad to see that you took my scathing remark about your avatar as I hoped you might: realized it was made in jest. You passed "the test". Frank
I was tested for giggling at things like that earlier they said it was just a test tickle though. I had to cough.
I doubt that's the reason, Martin. There's a holistic dr at my drs office and he's alive. So you're saying big pharma got this Somali police officer to shoot her? They wouldn't even have been talking to her had she not called 911. I really dislike the way people spread rumors these days. They'll find a way to make something fit their cause. Everything seems to be conspiracy of some sort to the far right and all it does is make me go in the opposite direction. I may vote democrat next time.
