Actually, I think @Cody Fousnaugh was just having a little fun. Truthfully, I haven't seen anything off topic so far. What we go through and how we handle everyday life as "a little more than mature" adults is the epitome of this thread. When we listen to the initial statement by Jack La Lanne in the video, he's saying that inactivity is the biggest killer of aging people. Granted, the examples in the video are a little over the top or.....are they? For some, yes but for others...no. The idea is to give it all you've got and enjoy life a little more.
You're right, I was just kidding with Chrissy, but, for her behalf, she does have one thing going today that would have me totally depressed......Wedding Anniversary to a husband who has passed away. That, in itself, is tough.
Sorry everyone....I'm wound tight today....just a lot going on lately and I have to do everything myself and today is just a reminder of that fact.
Speaking for all I'm sure, there is absolutely No need to apologize. Just keep truckin' and everything will work out. God Bless.........
Speaking of too old...had my wellness test yesterday...add mammogram, colonoscopy and forget what else to my 2 x rays and 2 MRIs. Busy month and not in a fun way. Don't know how I'm doing the colonoscopy if I need someone to drive me home...
Yeah, afraid you should have some trans afterward. You get a little happy juice before and sometimes during the procedure and it takes a while to totally wear off.
I can have it done by my daughter's house and then she can take me but I know my supplemental doesn't cover her area...only Fresno. It's a PPO. Or does Medicare cover colonoscopies?? Let me know if I'm going off topic. Better add...call insurance to my neverending list.
Looks like Medicare will cover it. Either ask your doctor or ask the place you plan on having the procedure done at.
Thanks @Cody Fousnaugh ....if Medicare takes care of the whole bill, I can have it done near my daughter. That's going to be my last test that I do and I'm in no hurry...maybe September.
Remember, Medicare only pays for 80% of a medical bill and that's after your deductible is paid for the year. So, depending, you will get a small bill from the place that does the screening.
My supplemental usually picks up what Medicare doesn't pay...so far I haven't had to pay anything for any tests I've had done since being on Medicare. I'll have to see if my supplemental will pick up the 20% if I do the colonoscopy out of area. Depending on how much that is...if it's too much, I won't have it done.
