@Bill Boggs , Until recently I was a portrait artist, and I loved doing the face of people over 50, mainly because their faces told a richer story than a young face does. I don't see old or ugly in your face. I see the kindness you've learned, the intelligence you've won through your experiences. I like that picture, there is no pretense of being what your not. Your just right.
Funny I used to like to photograph old faces, full of character lines and living. Something majestic about them.
The first one was a Ludwig drum set, sort of like the set I played rock with years ago. Avatar now is a pic of a full-rack Bull Elk I took in Rocky Mountain National Park during the "rut" (breeding time). Yes, I was close enough to that Elk to get this shot.
me too...although occasionally I'll use a pretty handbag or something cuz I get fed up looking at myself... the current avatar is of me taken just a few weeks ago
Yes @Cody Fousnaugh , I like your elk! It looks nice and plump, and I bet it would taste good fixed anyway I could think of. Mmmmmmm Yummmmm.
Avatars are expressive. Sometimes they are the 'real deal', sometimes avatars reflect a narrow part of who you are.
@Bill Boggs , the avatar you are using now looks like Johnny Cash to me. I like it. I see that you are playing your harmonica.
No, not Johnny. But playing, I'm going to Jackson, going to mess around...Play daily, a little bit of everybody.
