Obviously not, since I didn't say most of what you're attributing to me. I have no problem with your being transgendered. You are an intelligent, valued member of this forum, and your sexual identity or status only enters into it when you bring it up, and I am not at all suggesting that you shouldn't bring it up. As with pretty much everything else, different people will have differing opinions.
Thus far, I have not seen anything political about it. While politicians can amuse themselves making an issue greater than what it is, it doesn't work the other way around. Lastly, please let us not continue on the Christian "judging" platform. We Christians are not allowed to judge as to a person's position with God especially dealing with the eventual hereafter, but we can and are able to discern those things that seem to tweek the written word.
Ok, Billie, these two statements came from two forum members on this Thread. Not naming the members, but the statements are on this Thread. So, better say something to them as well as me........you know, keeping things fair.: "I have to admit that I'm flabbergasted at that. How can one be a man one day and a woman the next? That would involve sex change surgery and hormone therapy. I think someone needs psychiatric help and it's not just the one who is "Fluid"." "First- why in the hell, does everyone feel the need -all over the world to tell us their sexually preferences? Should be outlawed. What do we do next, accept people because they rather bed with their dog?" Nobody on this Thread said that you didn't have a right to express your feelings, but, when you reveal something about yourself that could be, can be, pretty controversial, like anyone ones that does that, you have to be ready for "the heat" from it. Some will understand your feelings, while others won't. I've been criticized for a replay I've done and/or for a Thread I've done. Criticism, as well as good feedback can come from a Thread a person decides to reply to or start.
@ Ken Anderson - I was not attributing anything to you personally .I was pointing out the assumptions that have been made by various people and attempting to answer them. I believed that you had misunderstood some of my replies to other people who have presented arguments to things I didn't actuall say.I was only trying to clear things up, apparently I didn't. I have no problem with anything you have said. @ Cody Fousnaugh The statements you have just re-presented are nothing to do with your criticism of me, because I did not critice the statements you reference. Again you are being deliberately obtuse. This is a Transgender thread. iI did not initiate it, others did, and as you have stated I have the right of reply and the right to freedom of speech. How exactly is it controversial to reveal I am Transgender on a thread about Transgenderism unless you believe Transgender people have no right to value their own worth? I did not present that as an issue .Any controversy did not originate from me. You are the one with the problem Cody - it is you who appear to be frightened of Words. I am not taking things personally here, I am annoyed that you are failing to make any attempt to respond with reason to reasoned argument. p.s. please stop pretending to be a Christian! You are a Bible-thumper - that is not the same. So are the bigots who promote White Supremacy via the Catholic-Orange Bible. Hiding behind a book can't justify emotional logic. I repeat, books are written by people and people make mistakes in interpretation , deliberately or otherwise. p.p.s. quoting from other peoples posts is evasive and a digression. I have ,where I considered necessary ,responded ,and where I didn't then obviously I found nothing to respond too. Their posts were never the problem .You are the one who is being provocative and misleading. I have no issue with people who are only presenting their views in a civilised manner. Self-righteous patronising from an individual who has far less knowledge about comparitive religion than another who has gained knowledge from decades of personal study and not from other peoples interpretations is a different situation altogether. You are reading into the bible what you want to read, not what is actually there.
Don't you think that's a little over the top? Cody isn't your enemy here. No one need be your enemy here. It's a discussion, and very few discussions result in full agreement.
Watch it, Billie. Ken will only take so much from anyone on this forum........anyone. Guess you'd would definitely like to see me leave and never come back to this forum again..........you just may very well get your wish. Just wonder how some others will feel about me possibly leaving due to YOU. Oh well, life goes on. Think I'm done with this Thread now and perhaps the entire forum. Sorry Ken, but Billie calling me a "Bible thumper" just doesn't cut it in my book.
@ Ken Anderson I was not intentionally being over the top . I find it hard to see this as a discussion ,though, where my words are being ( I believe ) misrepresented. This started as a discussion on definition and has become something else but iI don't believe I am responsible for steering it in that direction. The response was the consequence of frustration ,not animosity. If I have in your eyes or Cody's been offensive I apologise for that. @ Cody Fousnaugh If you do or do not leave this forum it is your choice. I feel nothing bad towards you .if you feel differently towards me that again is your choice. Though I find you frustrating to communicate with I have no desire for you to leave this forum. Why should I ?
I suggest everybody just relax. I don't think Ken will ban someone for that, @Cody Fousnaugh ...at least I hope not. @Cody Fousnaugh , reconsider leaving...you know you love it here. But if you do leave I won't blame Billie for it...it's your choice.
Thanks and I understand. Believe me, Billie, I can frustrate more than just you. Just like President Trump, my mouth can get very carried away with me at times (sometimes, to many times). Perhaps I'll be back to say "Merry Christmas" to everyone. LOL
As a Christian, I want to show the love of Christ to everyone and I do my best to do just that. Showing the love of Christ though does not mean I have to agree or accept what God and His Truth in the Bible says is wrong. Although Christians live in the World, we are told not to be of the World or to start living like the World does, etc. I can show love to everyone, but I cannot agree or accept the World's Truth over God's. Jesus walked this earth showing love and mercy and as followers of Christ we are called to do the same. But Jesus also spoke the Truth about sin and repentance. He stopped the people from stoning the woman caught in adultery, but He also told her to go and sin no more. Jesus later died for that woman's sins and for all of mankind's sins too. He became the redemption for all our sins and the only thing we have to do is ask Him to forgive our sins repent of those sins (turn away from) and become our Savior and He will. This is a free gift from God because of His love for all of us. It is also a choice we all either have to choose or not choose to make. The World, which satan rules at this time says anything goes and anything you want to do is okay. God and His Truth written in the Bible says different. And no matter how the World tries to change things...for those who are true Christians following Christ as their Savior and believing God's Truth in the Bible...we are called to show God's love to everyone, but not to agree with or accept anything they are doing or saying that does not line up with God's Truth. God created two genders...male and female. He did not create 22 or more genders. That is a creation of the World. I will show the love of Christ to all but I will not agree or accept these genders, etc. as Truth.
