I've been pondering why the Admin would all of a sudden unban everybody. I can hardly believe that it's out of the kindness of his heart. So.... I have developed a theory. Keep in mind, this is only a theory. We know for a fact that their website was hacked recently. Quote "We had a copycat, all posts and members were recreated, which was disturbing". end quote What if the hackers have taken over the website and locked Admin and Mod out? For a good hacker, that would be easy enough to do. If they can hack sites with excellent security, they can certainly hack one run by a single person. ...... Why would someone do that? Revenge, maybe? It could be someone who was banned. Or money? They have money making ads on that site.
Then they would reban everyone if a hacker did it. A couple weeks ago I wrote Matrix an email. I was asking about someone I saw that was posting again and thought that they had been banned when I was. Then I said he should give everyone amnesty, after all were just seniors wanting to talk to other seniors. He never replied to me but he usually doesn't...I didn't look after that but the other day I was on there and noticed that the bans were removed. I tried getting on as CeeCee and after I got an email for changing my password which I had forgotten...I was on.
I didn't check to see if everyone was, just a few people I knew that were banned. I really don't understand what you're saying....are you saying that Matrix and SeaBreeze don't run that site now and a hacker does? I don't see that.
Remember , a while back, you messaged me about that duplicate website that had all of the old posts from SF, @Chrissy Cross ? I think that both you and I messaged Matrix to let him know about someone copying his total website, except that they were all from several years back. I think that this is probably what @Shirley Martin is thinking of with her quote. I love the idea (could almost be a conspiracy) but I do not think that the forum has been taken over. SB is still on the Pet Forum, and it was not taken over, nor the low-carb one, so doubtful that SF was. I think that they just had to repair whatever damage was done.
Yes and in forum support Matrix made mention of that hijacking when some asked him why there's no members list anymore.
But, if he was the hacker, he certainly wouldn't say so, would he? They both would go on just as usual.
Yes but seabreeze posts and it's her style not some hacker...also the hacker was supposedly from the UK.
LOL...well it wasn't me... ...anyway who said it was someone from the UK and how could they know that? Perhaps it was the hacker themselves who claimed it was hacked from the UK...
