Guess I'm destined to be unhappy...don't drink, not in love and don't garden. Just have my family ....brings me enough happinesss. Needs to be added to the Chinese proverb.
I never get drunk because I hate alcohol... I do have my gardens and am out there a lot keeping them nice, but I'm not a huge gardening fan.. I wish I could have an imitation garden lol.... it's a lot of hard work ...
Having said that; some of the happiest hours of my life have been in my vegetable garden. I used to have a huge garden so that I could have some to share with friends and family. I would be out there before the dew dried off the grass. There would be only the birds, bees, bumblebees, butterflies, crickets, a frog or two, a few snakes , me and the Creator. The air was cool and fresh. I would be singing Life was good.
I like a good stiff drink ever so often... Wine has gotten to where it messes with the stomach...red wine anyway. A good frosty beer goes good with certain foods. I gave up getting hammered years ago...smart choice on my part. And I have no garden but love all me plants. And come 8-31... We still love each other after 26 years....yeep I am good to go
Went out to my garden today, picked some good looking tomatoes, grabbed three Gala apples, four bananas, four peaches and a jug of orange juice. Also picked up some Boar's head black Forest ham, and some Colby longhorn sliced cheese and a cartoon of half &half. I use Sprout's community garden.
@Bill Boggs I have been picking peaches at Food Lion. Aren't they delicious? I also picked some Bartlett pears.
Nothing sinister Shirley, I was just going to post some pictures of the fruit trees in my garden but I couldn't find where I'd put them on my computer..lol
