My shoulder is doing better every week.. I am now doing weight exercises at physio and am getting stronger as time goes on.. I do my exercises every day at home and it shows in the recovery.. sometimes I do a bit too much and get some pain from the strain, so I use ice to decrease the strain and it helps..
@Shirley Martin Gee, I kinda thought at least some of my virtues stood out far enough to warrant consideration for waiver of payment......though I am fully aware I possess precious few (virtues). What was this thread about, anyhoo? Frank
Well, I had a problem with my shoulder and I did something about it... I am NOT sorry I had it done, as from now on, I can have a quality of life.. So I can't do certain things but at least there is no more pain or restrictions.. Yes I have the inconvenience of going twice a week to physiotherapy, but it is only for my good to regain full use of my arm and build up the strength again.. Should I not choose to take physio, I will NEVER regain full use of my arm and I will be disabled...
I went for my physiotorture session today (Friday) and they had me doing the weights pulling from the wall.. Yes, it was strain full but it had to be done and I did it as they requested.. No pain afterwards which means no pain killers.. Stretching and pulling exercises as well.. I go to physio on Mondays and Fridays but this coming week on Monday is Labour day which means they are closed.. Can't go on Tuesday as we are off to Sudbury because my wife has an appointment with her diabetic specialist.. Next physio will be next Friday.. That's OK as I do my exercises daily at home anyway..
Well, today is Friday again............. boy does the time ever fly by fast !!!! On to another session of physio later on this afternoon.. After physio, we go for a good coffee at MacDonald's which is needed as well as some calm down time.. Then being Friday, we will do some food shopping at the supermarkets.. Its going to be a BIG order as I have a few parties coming up next week and I must buy for them.. I will tell you all about the parties soon, but not now... Yup, its a Birthday party.. With all that activity, I still won't be in any pain....................... I hope !!!
Not much to report concerning my shoulder.. All is coming along fine, however it will take some time till I can say it is as good as it will ever become.. Meantime I am coping very well.. No more pain, of course.. Other than lifting something heavy, I don't think much about it.. Today is the birthday of my wife Annmarie.. I will be very busy receiving guests and cooking supper..
Doing lots of yard work preparing for winter.. Undoing the vegetable garden, taking out the plants, weeds, and turning the soil, putting away the garden hoses, all 300 feet of them, putting away some of the garden furniture and just getting ready for winter which is just around the corner up here.... I am using my right arm almost as if there isn't any problem, but I still am taking care not to strain or force it....
That's excellent news Steve... good for you, you've recovered remarkably well, and been really stoical about it all...
