Oooh by far the worst thing is the queue system on the phone.... you are number 28 in the queue...10 minutes later you're now 26....2 hours later you're still on the phone because you know you're going to have to go through all this rigmarole again if you hang up....so finally the magic words... ''You are now number 1 in the Queue''... thank god, your hand is numb from holding the phone, you've been doing chores all afternoon one handed...but hey here we are at last...Number ONE in the queue... and then.. ""hellooo CS how can I help... ''Oh hello my name is... *clunk*..the phone goes dead..they've hung up before you've even got a chance to say your name .. Barstewards !!!! ...now you want to kill someone...then you have go through it all over again..and this time your heart is in your mouth because you're waiting for the disconnection after holding for ages once more ... and listening to the horrible same musak over and over again.. I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me,it drives me insane
I might not be able to help you with customer service but I can give you a hint on air filters. One of my jobs at Ford motor company was changing air filters on all the machines and paint booths, There was one we used and you can by it in a fabric store used for making quilts the batting dirt cheap and perfect filter for water or air.
I use online live chat. They don't have an accent. I remember once that I was talking by phone to a woman who could not understand a word that I said and I couldn't understand a word she said. I finally hung up and went to online chat.
Ive done online chat with AT&T but after answering all the questions they ask and before I got to the meat of the problem my screen froze...this happened all the time with them so I just go the route Jeff posted. I have actually been on the phone with AT&T for 2 hrs sometimes. In my opinion...they are the worst.
My wife is always able to get refunds, and sometimes even extra stuff, when she calls to complain about a product or service. When I call, they either hang up on me or threaten to call the police.
A few days ago there was a Japanese robot Customer Service agent featured on the news. I don't know if I could ever get used to it but then maybe it would be an improvement?
I believe the C.S. robot was made and used in Japan only. Here's a link giving more info -- https://www.cnbc.com/2017/03/09/heres-why-japan-is-obsessed-with-robots.html
