In order to embed a video from Youtube, all that is necessary is to copy the URL of the video into memory, and click the "Media" icon. Then paste the URL into the field that will appear.

For example, adding the cat video on
    Code:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqQPv78AMw0

    embed-video.jpg

As for the video, I don't know what to think about people who would film their cats and laugh while they are engaged in such dangerous behavior.

Alternatively click on SHARE then click on EMBED then click on COPY ... now paste it into your thread.

That will work, but it leaves some unnecessary code around the outside of the video.

At first, it wouldn't appear, then I realized I had marked "Private"
so went back and changed to "Public".
    Seems OK now.
Funny how I never uploaded a video to youtube till now.

On my iPad, I just go to the video I want in Youtube and select ‘copy’, and then I go to the desired thread, and place my cursor there, then I just click paste. Works for me. :)

@Ken Anderson "As for the video, I don't know what to think about people who would film their cats and laugh while they are engaged in such dangerous behavior."

Fantastic video! It occurred to me that perhaps the cats know better what they are doing, than we imagine, in many (not all) of the scenes. Cats are no fools, IMO. My big Tom routinely killed scorpions in exactly the way the cat
pounded the tarantula; getting stung by a scorpion simply couldn't happen. Now, that real big bear, could have been a grizzly or even Kodiak, I'm not so sure about. I always loved how cats "double" their size when preparing for action, showing their sidewise stance with huge bristled-up tail!

Now I need to ask a question. My HP laptop, Winderz 7, has a place for "My Videos"; it has always remained empty. I tried all I knew, to store the cats vid there, and failed. How is that done? I know how to copy the vid URL.....

    Thanks! Frank

Right click on your virginal 'my videos' ... scroll down to 'send to' ... click on it then scroll down to 'desktop-create shortcut' ... Now you have a shortcut on your desktop that you can open and put films in or designate as your default file for downloaded videos ...

I think that it has to be posted on youtube first, and then you can post the youtube video here, @Don Alaska . I am pretty sure that question has been asked before , and that was what @Ken Anderson said would work.

Or you can simply copy the URL and paste it into the body of the post.
