It's no no and no again to everyone who asked. I think @Bobby Cole is correct about hurt feelings on forums when there was no intention. And again, I admit to being overly sensitive at times. I do try (though I probably miss this plenty of times) to word things in a way that takes into account that a person can't hear my tone. I think even that can be hit and miss. I guess we can't always put everything we are thinking into the written word.
I’m like you @May Benot i like cartoons for avatars I partially like Minnie and Mickey ..in fact I have one of each of them in my junk /sewing room that my friend from Whyalla bought back from Disney land I n the US for me
Yes well, I've been called 'Opinionated' by people who only met me 10 mins earlier I have very strong views on one or two subjects and get irritated when people who haven't done any research just quote what they've read/heard on the telly etc. ... if these topics are ever put up for discussion then I'll share my views but I won't start a thread until I've been here awhile and ascertained that banishment will not necessarily follow
I'm a weird combination consisting of being a preacher and an empiricist to boot and most of the good folks here have put up with me for a couple of years, so I do not think you have very much to worry about. For the most part, we have all learned to grow together and acknowledge each other as individuals with individual thoughts, strengths and frailties. There was a learning period when nearly everyone was at each other's throats at the drop of a hat, but again, we learned. I think for a good forum of this kind to exist and exist comfortably, there has to be something to make it cohesive and from my point of view, it's simply that we learned to like each other no matter the situation. Obviously, we still argue but it blows over with only a couple of bumps and no blood drawn. Yeah, there have been and there will be other's who decide to come in and deliberately start a bunch of trouble, but judging from the number of likes you have already received I believe we have all decided that you are a part of the family and not one of the "others". And as far as banning, by my count there have been only a couple of posters since the very concept of this forum whom @Ken Anderson has had to dispatch to the great beyond. He does indeed have more patience than I..............................
Thankyou Bobby, I haven't ever been banned from any forum, altho' I have banned myself from a few, often after only one day ...some people like to argue just for the sake of it and I honestly can't be bothered ... unless it's a topic that I actually know or care something about ... ( and that makes it a very small field)
aw.........I rather think it was more akin to being sent to bed without your supper and awoke in the morn to a new day.
Seriously???!!! Here? Or the other place? I actually found out about this forum when someone (not Chrissy) posted on that other forum that they had been banned here temporarily. Glad I read that post.
I'm yet to be banned but I posted on a support forum for the first time on Reddit (I go to a few other sub forums there. It's odd there at times) and got some snippy reply from a moderator that I didn't do something right as a first poster and it took me some time to figure it out. I get why they request this but the way they went about it on their post was not "supportive" at all. May go back there in the future if they didn't ban me already because I told them they go at things the wrong way in my opinion.
