We beat the UK (sorry UK members). Justt posting this because of all the California bashing sometimes on here. Yes, it's got its problems but it all depends where you live also. And we are just a state not even a country. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...5th-largest-economy-beating-out-uk/583508002/
Well they are saying Louisiana is one of the worst economy places right now too...but here in our City we aren't noticing that.
Well, when wife and I lived in Southern California (Costa Mesa), many people live awfully good-to-great there. Irvine Spectrum was huge with big companies and electronics. Then there is all the high-class cities in Southern Cal.
Here in the Central Valley we supply most of the agricultural to the country. The state has a little bit of everything..the ag, the high tech, etc.
Florida, from some folks standpoint, is the most racist state in America. When looking at the demographics of parts of Colorado, Idaho, Montana, the Dakota's......IOW, the Rocky Mountain and Plains States, Florida isn't that racist. But, then again, not all races want to live in those states and/or the populations of certain races are very low. But, Florida conquering every other state in that area, well............
Don't tell that to ranchers and farmers in those Rocky Mountain or Plains States or Indiana, Iowa as well. Lots and lots of ag, in Colorado. We drove by acres of field corn just outside of Greeley, Colorado.
California produces the most food (by value) in the United States followed by Iowa and Nebraska. Twelve (12) states generate over $10 billion in agricultural cash reciepts: California, Iowa, Nebraska, Texas, Minnesota, Illinois, Kansas, Wisconsin, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio & South Dakota.May 31, 2016 States That Produce The Most Food (By Value) - Beef2Live beef2live.com › story-states-produce-foo...
Not necessarily disagreeing with you, but if anyone was to tell the ranchers and farmers that in other states, the person could get an "ear full" of "no way"........no matter what the stats say.
Yes I saw that on the news the other day Chrissy. There's a whole load of wealth in California..( I know also a lot of poverty too)..however even though California is a state did you know that you're almost twice the size of the whole of the UK...?...and also your population is just about 2/3rd of ours...California 39 million... UK almost 66 million... It's a bit of a tight squeeze here lol
California is a very nice state, once a person gets into the mountain communities of Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead. Nice areas are also in Marysville and Lake Shasta. Even though I've lived near them, I'm definitely not a "big city" person. Like the beach areas, check out Mission Bay in San Diego, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach and others.
I have rented a cabin in Big Bear a few times in the 1970s but the last time I was there, in the mid-1980s, it had been built up quite a bit and wasn't nearly as rural as it had been. There were still cabins in the woods, but there were a whole lot more cabins. My favorite part of California was Sawyers Bar and the Forks of Salmon area.
There are lots of sites with info ...we produce a lot of the ag and not just by value. I don't feel like looking it all up and posting them though.
