I saw talk of it...but I doubt it would work tbh. It's the Roseanne show really isn't it?...Bit like having Happy days without the Fonz, or Cagney and Lacey without Cagney etc...
An actor or actress should keep their politics and their racial ideas to themselves because the trend is no tolerance. It may not have happened in the past but thats the way it is working now. To do otherwise is to suffer the consequences.
I keep wondering what happened to Free Speech in America. Granted many of the sayings are just down right nasty. But is it not a persons right to say what they feel ? Where are the guide lines on what is allowed. Why are so many punished but others are not. This is a generalization question not aimed at any one person.
I agree...I was very offended when kimmel made fun of Melania's accent. My sweet mother had pretty much the same accent. I thought his comment was very ugly and mean spirited.
Well we may have free speech here in America but here's where "if you don't have something nice to say...don't say anything." should be the rule rather than the exception. Some people are taking free speech to places it was never meant to go in my opinion.
Well here's another one that should be taken off the air. Ive never seen her show but do see it advertised on TBS when I'm watching reruns of Big Bang... https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment...ile-vicious-samantha-bee-calls-153824523.html
Out of curiosity, did any of you ever watch a show called The Carmichael Show? Actually the guy that played one of the son's on the show, Jarrod Carmichael, was also the Creator of the show and his last name, Carmichael, was used for the name of the show. All but one member of the family was black and that one member was half black/half white. It was an hilarious show, but they really touched on some very controversial stuff concerning blacks and whites. One show was about guns, another about police and blacks and yet another, one that really hit wife and I, the "n" word was used in the episode. It was used by a restaurant employee towards the one son and that son was a friend of that employee. The family went nuts when they heard it, but the son told the family "it's just a word" and the employee and the son laughed about using it. Just read that the show was cancelled last year. Like the "reboot" of Roseanne, The Carmichael Show touched on some very controversial topics.
No, I have never heard of that one, but it's been a long time since I have had network TV. Until it comes to Hulu or Netflix, I have often not heard of it.
Well, the lady that played the mother in The Carmichael Show also played a mother in the movie Jumping The Broom.
I have no tolerance for making fun of accents. I commend Melania Trump for keeping her accent and not take steps to reduce it like Heidi Klum did. Though I don't blame anyone for doing so.
Well, don’t live in So California and have a southern accent. People tease those that do. Seen it happen.
I agree, all my life I've had people taking the mickey out of my accent. First when we moved from One city in Scotland to another when I was 7 and the bullying because of mine and my younger brother's accents caused us to play truant from school... Then when I moved from Scotland to a small town England aged 19.. the comments ranged from ''why don't you go back to where you come from''...to how cute is your accents...to downright rude where while I was talking, people would stare past me to whoever I was with and snarkily say ''What is she saying'' ? After all these years my accent has mellowed and everyone thinks it's cute..and ENGLISH or AUSTRALIAN...when I tell them I'm Scottish...the sarky comments begin again...
