We used to say if a place has cloth napkins over a roll of paper towels it's called a fancy place. We would check the menu prices prior to ordering. I had a date one time long ago that I told her what she was ordering was too expensive and drinks also and she just kept on doing so, told her again after the waiter left that the meal was on her totally for both of us, she got irate and I got up and just left. I did tell the manager to cancel the order as I left. If he did or not I will never know. I never was one to put up with BS. Before leaving I offered to take her back home, she was still ranting. I left.
No, not really. My friends partied. Although I rarely drank, even in high school, I was at a lot of parties.
I didn't drink at all until I married and then only at home because I was still underage out at bars. My husband who was older could drink but I couldn't.
Oh Lord...yes I do remember, and thank goodness, my palate changed over the years. I like a good frosty cold beer with certain foods. I like wines, but apparently have developed a bit of a reaction to, too much wine. Sends the tummy on a bathroom binge. But my choice of drink for years is Bourbon and coke!
Now Fred was a wine connoisseur. His two favorite drinks were both made from Ripple. " Cripple " was when he mixed Ripple and Gin together. " Champipple " was when he mixed Champagne and Ripple.
Surprised no one drinks Thunderbird or Tbird horrible stuff, Boones Farm Mello Days or Stepping out was not to bad! Remember Gallo? Mogan David? Another from this parts never mentioned anymore was Red Dog about $1 a bottle
Thunderbird or Tbird was a very cheap brand of wine close to the bottom of any list many were under $1.00 a bottle on sale. As shown Night Train was in the same class. I never was much of a wine drinker ever. I don't hardly ever drink ever! If I did it would be tequila .
