Thanks for tip on elitevisitors Yvonne. I've also heard Crowdsource and Clickworker are decent places to earn some money on-line doing writing or other editing tasks. I haven't tried either, but they look like something I might be interested in. Maybe someone here can give some feedback on them.

You were one of the people that i was following on Bubblews, as well as Sandra. I think it might have been your final post that made me think if Bubblews was not paying the regular people anymore, then they were not likely to pay me either.
Since all of the writers that had been regularly getting paid, knew all of the regulations, it was not likely that you had done anything wrong to lose your commission.
I still have not even tried writing on Elite Visitors, although I have received several friend requests. The problem is that it can be hard to tell if it is someone you want to friend and follow or not; so i will probably read a few of the posts before I friend anyone, unless it is someone that I know from somewhere else.

Thanks for following! I really thought that Bubbles was such a good site. I do not believe all the hype Arvind is putting out; I think it was more a greed situation, but that is life. During my time there I made good money, a lot more that the $150 they owe me.

Sandra is a kick! We met on Mylots years ago and developed a great friendship! She is the one who pinned "The Buddhist Hitchcock" on me!

Bubblews WAS a good site. Since their new year's "gift" to their members I've tried a few similar sites, but they just aren't the same. Maybe I need to be patient, but at the moment I feel like I've lost a lot of friends, and now I'm mainly talking to strangers on those sites. It doesn't help that there already seem to be payment issues with one of the others I tried.

I just saw something on Facebook about elitevisitors.com you might want to check out. Just go to elitevisitors on Facebook. It looks like there has been something underhanded going on. I'm not sure who is who, but maybe someone that knows the site can explain.

@John Stone - I saw that a couple of hours ago and it sounded like it was one of the site's admin who was to blame. I've just paid the EliteVisitors Facebook page another visit, and in his latest post there, Rex Trulove says that it's the owner of the site (Ryan) who took all the money. They're now in the process of setting up a new site to which Ryan doesn't have access. I'm starting to think I'm wasting my time with that kind of site but, as my articles will be transferred there, I might give it a bit of time to see what happens. I wasn't due to be paid yet anyway.

I do miss the friends I had there be will never return. When I need extra money I just write articles. It is boring, but the money does come in quickly.

There is really a lot of websites offering money in return for doing something.
I make extra money online by writing articles and getting paid for them,
but generally writing is my very big passion and I know 5 languages, so it's a hobby for me too. :)
It's not much that I'm getting from doing this, but it's always something. :D And something is worth the efort.

I would really like to eliminate my part time job and find online work that could keep me busy all week. I have read the above posts and will check out a couple places mentioned. I have a strong belief that whatever you put into something is what you will get out of it and consistency is key. I have been trying my best to write something everyday on here. I look for a subject that catches my eye and go from there. I am wondering, if I "like" a post is it best to click that you do? I would have to think that goes in the favor of the member that wrote the post correct? I love reading the posts because I always come away from each category knowing something that I didn't know before I entered it! That is awesome to me! Another thing is I am so afraid that I am not going to spot a scam. I know that if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is, but I also know that some are very good at what they do and I don't want to fall prey to them...EVER! Well I am going to get busy and look up a couple of sites mentioned here and see what I can come up with. Thanks everyone who has shared! Until next time, have a wonderful day!

@Michelle Keiser , sometimes it's really difficult to spot a scam site, but sometimes it's really easy. I would avoid any site that expects you to pay for the "privilege" of earning money there as well as any site that has a really high cash-out level. I believe that there are sites that offer $1 to click on an advert but don't pay until you've reached something ridiculous like $1000. Those can't possibly be legit.

On the other hand sites like Bubblews and it's clones probably didn't set out to be scams, but by trying to pay too much they used models that weren't sustainable and eventually some of their members lost out on their hard-earned money. Bubblews wrote off a lot of payments, alienating many of their members, but continues with some loyal members who were prepared to take a massive cut in their earnings. Other sites have simply disappeared. EliteVisitors claimed to be cheated by one of their admin and moved to a new site called BestWriters. One month later they announced that they were losing money and couldn't pay their members. For now they are continuing as a site that doesn't offer payment, and they too have some loyal members who have stayed on. I could go on, but you get the picture.

I was a member of Bubblews for over a year. Last summer I started to notice that something was wrong there, when they took away credit for views. Then there was the announcement at the beginning of the year about past payments being taken away and the fact that pending payments were lowered. Then I noticed that I was making next to nothing there, and had to leave. I wasn't happy about that, because although I had a few redemption issues there, for the most part Bubblews was not only a good source for extra money I also made good connections there, but that is now all in the past.

So, what did Bublblews in, well maybe they did get in over their heads but they were around for about three years. But last summer I noticed something else as well there. That some of my connections were reporting that their post were being stolen by other members. Also, I noticed som post that weren't 400 characters, far from it. There was also other violations going on and I suspect that much of this went under the radar by Bubblews till the bottom fell out and they found that they paid these people for violating terms. So, in the end all members including the good ones paid for the abuse of some who were trying to work the system.

Five languages! That is an amazing accomplishment to me. Why, I can barely manage my one and sometimes I wonder if I really know it at all when I listen to some young people speak. Especially some of those in the entertainment industry.:)

@Hannah Davis , some of those violations had been going on at Bubblews for a really long time and many members made a habit of reporting any violations they saw, myself included. Sometimes Bubblews acted on the reports quickly, but sometimes it took months for them to do anything about them, and I've just checked up on one plagiarised post that I reported in 2014 and it's still there. So the violators certainly weren't going under the radar - Bubblews just didn't care enough to fix all the problems.

I was a member of Bubblews for over two years (technically I'm still a member because I haven't deleted all my content yet) and I remember reading rumours of payment issues before I ever joined. I know that I went through a period of payment issues in 2013 and only returned after receiving part payment at the beginning of 2014. In the end I did better there than on any other writing sites I've tried, but they still kept quite a bit of money they owed me.

I am registered in a writing site that pays its writers. Not really big money but the feeling of earning something from writing online is a sense of achievement to me. The most that I got for a day is $2. Not bad eh?
